GM Attendees and Others not attending but who may be interested...
I went to the TT on friday on this little beauty:

It's a 33ft RIB, and amazing amounts of fun, I got to drive it so I'd know!! 8-)
Simon and his RIB (http://www.fynepioneer.co.uk/) will be at Oban the weekend that we're doing the GM. He has very kindly offered to take anyone interested out on the boat (trust me you do not want to miss this!) on the Friday afternoon/evening for a blast to and through the Falls of Lora (http://www.fallsoflora.info/).
Now Oban is about an hour and a bit from the campsite at Killin, if you're interested can you post in here so I can let Simon know if it's viable?
(If nothing else it will be worth it for the blast along the A85!)

In brief discussions on friday Simon reckoned about £10 towards fuel.
And considering it can use 149ltrs per HOUR I think thats pretty fair!

Yeah considering I can still taste salt from the daft grin I had when driving this beast yesterday morning it's a safe bet that I'll be there.
What time 'ish are you going out? Just wondering if I can make it to Oban in time? If so sign me up shipmates\\:D/
I've no idea, we were thinking kind of late afternoon and early evening. We need at least 20 folk to make it viable. :)

haha! No I'm not on commission - though that idea has merit!!
You never know who's subscribed to which threads, so I didnt want bunch of us to head off on friday for anyone who missed the post it to spit the dummy...
If you get the chance do it, I bounced about in a smaller version for 15 years and loved it :cool:

Folks - please note that this is not part of the GM. I never knew about this or was even asked if it was ok.
I have made provisions for food, entertainment etc for those arriving on the Friday night. These were to ber posted 2 weeks before the event.
The three people involved in this year's GM are myself, Blue Flame (Grant) and Carelesschucca (Dean)
Unless it comes from either of us then it is not part of the GM

Maybe a mod could change the thread title to something along the lines of 'a suggestion for something to do on the Friday afternoon of the GM' or such like then?

I think we are going around 5pm from Oban so should be back in good time for a few drinkypoos and whatever else Friday night.

well i could say that a menu posted would be nice for their food, times considering that everything was sorted including food.
Give me the choice if i got for food or get on the way up. Cos i won't be drinking the day before the rideout - GM1 gives me too many bad memories!!
anyway this is not the thread for it - this is Jen's thread and not Stuarts therefore nothing to do with the GM so we should not discuss the GM!

We plied Simon with beer and pizza to get the chance of a bit of a laugh on the Friday for anyone who can be bothered at a reasonable rate. If we've stood on anyone's toes with that then I do apologise but I see no obligation to seek official permission from anyone for any activity suggested.
We're all just out to ride our bikes and have a bit of a laugh, why so serious.

For reasons being that I do a boat journey once a year and that's too often, coming from someone that was seasick on a pedalo in water a foot deep. :puker:

Remember it's roughly a 5pm departure on the boat and it's £10 each.
