Interesting to note that the others for sale on ebay are all in the reasonable 25 to 50 quid range. What makes them think they'll get that stupid price?

The Royal Mint reckon there's between 50,000 and 200,000 of them in circulation, so they're hardly rare

My wife's friend found a genuine undated shield 20p and we got £300 for it on ebay. We took a photo using a mirror to show both sides at the same time.

I do have some mint £2 coins that are single metal, think I got them just before £2 coins were legal tender, gonna dig them out and put them on ebay as freaks for £1,000,000

I have a relatively-circular chink of metal I found on the floor once, I think it's a faded £200 coin from a secret circulation by the Mint in 1982. I'll put that on eBay too!

Speaking of stupid people, I know someone who sold an air-guitar on eBay for £40 or something
