You don't eat sausage!!!! whats the point in that!!!
I too will have an engenius water boiling thingamejig.(probably)

I don't eat anything that is of porcine origin - not even those lovely Flake chocolate pudding things as they contain gelatine.

However, steak, yum, nice and bloody with a bit of mustard.

I don't mind meeting you OG at Jct 7 then meeting the rest at 17.
I'm flexible tbh, whatever everyone wants to do.

Btw, I thought you finished at 2.30 ?

I assume by 'ruff it' you meant we might have to serve any pre dinner cocktails in plastic glasses not crystal? Do you think the local supermarket will sell mint for the Pimms or should I bring some from the garden?

You don't really do this 'living rough' thing do you :)

Yep, finish at 2.30 but work about 45 mins in the other direction, towards Wales, so by the time I come back jump on the bike, could be at Jnt 7 for 3.15/3.30pm
Like I said if its a problem for peeps, sniff..... sniff....
I'll travel...sniff.....alone;)

It's only fair I think my grey haired friend that we meet you considering you were a large part of the plans :)

It's only about 30 mins later than expected anyway, see you at Jct 7 :)

I won't be living as rough as you numpty, as at least I have a tent to bring. If you recall, on the last trip I bought ice and fresh limes for the rum cocktails. One has to have standards you know.

I'm travelling from Hinckley area, so dont go into Brum really. So J7 would be a good meet for me too i reckon. Is it the services at J7 your planning to meet at?

We'll be going m42-m5 so if you wanna meet us before that's good with me, I live close to the NEC so if you jumped on m6 it takes 20 mins or so to get to the NEC, we can meet you there if you like cos you've gotta pass the same roads to get to jct7.

Ok yeh that works well for me. What kinda time would you want meet there? And where about at the NEC would you want to me? I have never been anywhere near it before. Near the entrance to the car park? Or how about at Bickin Hill service station nearby?

Specialone

This (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=M69&daddr=Unknown+road&hl=en&sll=52.455316,-1.696631&sspn=0.001749,0.005659&geocode=FcAhIAMdjEjq_w%3BFTZlIAMd2Bnm_w&mra=me&mrsp=1,0&sz=18&t=h&z=18) is probably best place as you wont get lost by the NEC.
When leaving M6 keep left as it splits from M6, M42 and A446, come upto an island with traffic lights on, 1st left and thats the road we'll meet you on, be careful though when stopping where ive put the marker cos cars join just before that from another dual carriage way so be on your guard.

If you miss it, dont panic, stay on road for another 3/4 mile of so and you'll come to a large island, just pull up on the kerb there as we have to past there anyway, thinking about it might be better there maybe?
It hink around 2.45, that should give us loads of time to get to Jct7.

Sorry, I've been a bit quiet recently...

Updated to a definite - got some hard luggage arriving this week and bought a new tent ready for the summer - bit bigger than my other one at the ARTHNW ;).

I don't finish work on friday till about 3:45 and work 20 mins from M5 frankly services, so don't worry about heading off early as I'll make my way down to the camp site at a lazy pace.

Lookin forward to it!

No bailing out here, someones gotta bring up the rear on the rideout

Bought a vango omega 350 last week from go outdoors when they had 15% off. Fits perfectly in the top box and is massive when up. Huge porch area to put all the gear in. Much more space than my 1 man orange coffin from the ARTNW!

Hard luggage all the way. After last years trip round europe, packing and unpacking soft panniers every day was a pain - couldn't face doing that again. Just waiting for some panniers to turn up from ebay tomorrow and I'm good to go.

BTW is there a final route for the saturday as I can load it on the sat nav before next weekend.

Immediately off the Junction, on the left if you are coming south, on the pershore road there is an unofficial layby as shown, large entrance to a farmers field but everyone uses it for lorries, pigeon flights, AA, etc.etc.
Suggest we meet here on Friday, save coming off the M-way, then we can run straight back on so no detours for anyone.

This is the general route, figure of 8 from Camp down to Taunton, but obviously not into town, across towards Bampton to pick up the road north through the park, left along the coast to the Quay for lunch at Ilfracombe, then back down+across towards Bampton to ride up through the park again to Camp.
Linkie should show the general route, although some local interpretations may apply at the time. E&O.E rules according to standard terms and conditions apply, copies are available upon request.:rabbit:

Dont think I'll make it now. The week after is the England v India Test at work, which also happens to be the 100th Test between the two nations and the 2000th Test match ever. So suddenly everyone involved has decided this requires much celebration and an awful lot of meetings. Some of which are likely to be on Friday. It's worse than the Ashes, as least the Aussies are quite organised.

You sure your old age and incontinence didn't cause that?

All you ghits owe me beer now. A man could develop a complex with this much abuse.

Nope, I am going to make it a double large chocolate cake with disgracefully huge amounts of icing now just to make it worse for you.

And I will eat it slowly. Maybe I will drop a slice and stamp it into the grass too, just to really **** you off.

Be realistic, there's a huge cricket match going on in Taunton on Friday/Saturday/Sunday (India play Somerset) so of course it'll rain all weekend.

I don't know why Chief of as$hole and expert rimmer Gay-Bidet Kiss is being so smug about cake. As I'm unlikely to be there he not only doesn't he get any cake, he doesn't have a tent or a sleeping matt as both are in my loft in Essex and I'm not seeing him til 20th August.

Please read what me and OG said previously, no negative vibes regarding the weather, we put our request in very early to the weather gods so should be ok :)

Btw, BBC weather rarely get it right the day before so don't take any notice this early.

Positive thoughts please everybody :):notworthy:

Yep, not officially working this week but had to do a little job this morning and I've got 4 doors to hang on Thursday for someone.

Just been making a mount for my satnav as it was just cable tied before, just gotta spray it black and it's done hopefully.

I've got my tank driving experience tomorrow which my wife got for my 40th birthday last October :)

Ok gayboys, just called campsite, bit of a problem, he has space \\:D/

Told him we are probably gonna arrive around 6pm, no problem he said just find a spot and him or his wife will pop round at some point to take payment.
He said the 2nd further field has most room if we want that which is a good idea i think.

Wahoo

What you doing for a tent snarling gaylord if LPH don't come this weekend?

But if you come via mine you can borrow my tent, sleeping mat, Winnie the Pooh hot water bottle in case it's cold, throw over luggage, camping stove, kettle, hair straighteners and maybe give me a lift to Somerset while my helmet fills up with snot.

Looking forward to this! Got some beers loaded in the panniers ready.

I'll be leaving work about 3:45 on friday and head straight down, so don't rekon I'll be there anytime before 7pm, probably more like 8pm at my pace with a brew stop and leg stretch at the services.

See you all there!
