Dammit, I'm not giving you an excuse for yet another name so I guess I had ought to man up and come along. Cue my ridiculous day-glow waterproof suit.

Tesco in Minehead and Cost Cutter in Porlock. Don't worry if there is a place to buy beer I will find it. I quite partial to the odd can or 2. lol. (look at the ARTNW pics).

Right, junction 7 - junction 17 is approx 98 miles, doable in 1hr 15 mins with no stops and not too much heavy traffic.
But, mway riding for too long kills my ongoing shoulder problem so may have to have a brief stretch midway.

Going to need someone to play pack mule for me though, I shall be purchasing some roll matts from halfrauds there to put on someone elses bicycle as my little bike is fully packed what with it carrying both me, LPH, throw over panniers, rucksacks, tent, sleeping bags and a tankbag.

So basically we can do that in 1hr a piece of urine, so its all good :riding:

Its 66miles to the campsite from jct17, so hour or so should see us arrive there :)

Really enjoyed it guys & dolls, thanks for all the laughs, despite the carp weather had a banging time.
This could end up like Harry Potter, remember there were eight episodes of that !, question is can DanF & Dave numbers manage another outing like that one/is there enough cidre in costco to slate their thurst, can specialone hold his cheeks together rather than gasing us & could raising dasies actually manage to bring some of his own kit and turn up on time!!!!:eye:

Well, we ( DanF and dave numbers) got back to my house at 2.15, they have just left here after a break.
The roads were carnage on the way back, accidents etc, M42 at jct4, car and its caravan were pointing skywards after jack knifing it, 2 lanes shut :(, cue more filtering, ive never done so much filtering as i have this weekend, Friday by Bristol was horrendous, pouring with rain with zero visibility.

Anyway, thanks to all for making it a top weekend, despite some bad weather, shame it couldnt have been like yesterday afternoon all weekend, it was lovely then.
My sides we physically hurting last night from all the laughing :smt038:D.

Thanks to OG for leading the ride in difficult conditions, Al for doing a sterling job as TEC, no one binned it or got lost so top job to all.

Ill post some pics later.

I can't believe that cake was still edible by Saturday night and tasted OK.

I'll take the blame for our lateness thanks to a crocked Jubilee line. I didn't mind Wailing Mavis expecting share my tent, borrow my 2nd sleeping bag, and I agreed that if he rode I'd pay for the fuel, camping and buying some sleep mats. But I did think he was being a bit cheeky when he also asked to borrow some of my silky lingerie for the weekend after his pants got damp on the ride down.
