View Full Version : Offside front clip for braided lines on an SK4?

I'm thinking of replacing the brake lines on my SV650 S K4 in the next month or so. It seems that a two-line setup is the better -- and cheaper -- option to go for.

My question is: what do I replace the splitter with on the RHS/offside fork leg?

Looking at it, it seems that it should be possible to fit the same clip as you find on the LHS/nearside leg. What have other people done? Do I just need to start a new thread in the Wanted section asking for nearside clip from a pointy?

Hi Tim, I fitted some of these when I did mine ; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Braided-Brake-line-cushioned-P-clips-2-pack-/130524716129?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item1e63e11c61

Same here, stainless P-clip curtsy of Goodridge hoses.

Thanks for that, guys.

The Ebay link really helped, TJ. I had seen p-clips on the HEL website, http://helperformance.com/catalogue/ancillaries/, but wasn't sure what they were, exactly. The picture on Ebay made it much clearer. Looks like I'll need two smaller clips, one for each fork leg, plus a larger one for the bottom triple clamp which will have both lines passing through it.

For my 2 line set, I just needed one for the RH leg. I re-used all the others. (LH leg and yoke)

That means different clips on the two fork legs! 8-[

I take it that both the braided lines fit through the existing clip on the triple clamp without any problems?

I didn't have a problem, had to shuffle the 2 lines and speedo wire but it went together without any stress, and yep, different clips on each leg - but it was free....
