I did something today I've never done before!

I pulled a car just because I wanted a look at it! In reality, the driver got a bit paranoid at my, ahem, "attention" and stopped without prompting. I was so glad because the car was this;

Alfa Romeo competizione 8c. I have NEVER been so bowled over by a car. It is just sooooooo beautiful I would trade a testicle or two for one.

The guy was ace, I explained I was only oggling, but he was only too happy to show off his new pride and joy. I didn't sit in, bike kit and fancy interiors don't match, but let me tell you, I couldn't have sat down if I wanted to! Slight trouser trouble sir!

After I had finished... he gave it the nuts onto the motorway with me on the bike behind. Oooooohhhh, jeez. I nearly fell off I was laughing so much!

That is, indeed, top drawer car porn. What did it sound like following? I was quite sad the other day - I followed an MGB GT (the proper V8 one) for about 4 miles further than I needed to because it sounded gorgeous!

I think he was a bit reticent about giving it the full beans, after all, with that engine, it doesnt take long to get into trouble speeds!

However, he gave it a good show, a few rolls on and off the power. Let's just say, I enjoyed it.

That sounds like the bitter voice of experience. Still, Alfas have always had one thing going for them - they were better screwed together than a Lancia. Which is not saying that I didn't lust after the idea of a Delta Integrale back in the day! I'm only human.

Nearly blagged a 155 with black touring-car-style alloys and spoiler as a company car before some boring f%$&er told me I had to have a hatchback! Oh goody, Laguna time.

Now that is a bucketload of sex, and looks a lot nicer than the convertible version that my local alfa dealer has in their showroom.

Alfa have also announced they WILL build this - the 4C, 235hp but weighs around 850kg - orders being taken at the moment, price around £45k:-

The 4C - one of my brothers mate has just put an order in for one of these. Rather than get a ducatti! He's been 'advised' it could could cost up to £60k. ( and he can x% through his work - Alfamotosport)

The performance is terrible, it sways way too much, it has massive understeer. But it is by far, the most pant-tightening inducing car on the planet. Way to go Alpha, you win.
