Fathers day

I'm sat here beaming like a loon :grin: \\:D/ because I got a message from my step son today that said "happy fathers day" doesn't sound like much but it's a huge mental leap. I've been there myself with a step dad so I really appreciate it.

So on that note, what's the nicest thing that has happened to you on fathers day?

Two cards off my daughter who I have only known about since April last year, but this is the first fathers day I have been in contact with her & her mother

One was covered in glitter & one was hand made covered in glitter stars, best gifts ever

Identical cards from my two, bought completely independently, which was hilarious! And "Paul" on BluRay (anyone know if it's any good? It looks funny anyway). Then Wifey and I took the bikes and the boys along the coast to see my Dad. A bit blowy but a lovely ride.

I too got a 'stepdad' card. I was chuffed to bits, its been a hard road getting to where i am with the missus kids and have had many doubts. The card today made those doubts go away. Twas a great feeling. :)

The missus wants a lil Amp now too. Silly woman!

Also graced his day with my very hungover presence.

Got breakfast in bed and a photo of my grandson and (soon to be) step granddaughter from them. Had a book from son and shirt from daughter. :cool:

Got a brew waiting by my bed when I was getting up, so good start.

Package/card on the table downstairs from Daughter 1, Bar Chocolate and PJs in case at my advancing age I have to go in hospital and a pair of old git socks.

Son turns up with girlfriend with a card from them and their staffy for dinner. Muggins had to buy the joint, prep veg and cook. But at least wife/daughter no 1 did the washing up.

Daughter no 2, nothing, not a call/card or kiss my ****. Probably making my grandson call her latest daddy and give him a card.

I got a card with some crayon all over it from my 13m old boy, and a box of jelly beans, which I am quite partial to.

Havent seen my dad for 18 years, and my step dad went to the dentist and hasnt been seen since 2008!

I had a big bar of Toblerone, a box of Quality Street and the Brian Cox book - "Wonders of the Universe". Also went to see X Men First Class in the afternoon. Quality day, even if I did have to pay for the popcorn and drinks!!!
