View Full Version : Hi folks
Hello all! Thought I'd show my face(ish) - I've been lurking on the forum for a bit but the time has come - got myself a luurvely yellow 02 curvy, it's mint with just over 4k on it \\:D/ Done a couple of tankfuls already and...cant...stop...riding...it... :p It's my first bike - did the CBT / DAS and got the SV a few days later. It's so lithe and responsive compared to the cbf500 I rode on the test!!!
Anecdotally, the bike came with the original Metzlers which, apart from being s*ite were well squared off - thought I'd got the wrong bike until I swapped them out with some Diablo Stradas (sp?). How wrong I was!
Anyway, I have a tendency to ramble. Hi!
Welcome to the mad house!
Dont feed the animals, keep it shiny side up!
Ride Safe!

ps: best colour and shape! ;)

Wot they said! Seriously, welcome and enjoy the ride. That's nice low mileage BTW, mine's the same age and has done over 20k!
PS: Best shape, yes. Best colour? Sorry Jen, I love my bluey!

Welcome from another yellow curvy rider.
Thanks guys - shiny side up indeed, taking it nice and easy for the time being. Everyone's gotta lean right?
Yes jen, colour AND shape (sorry fridge!)... although with my balck/white/blue gear my lot have named me bananaman... doh!
Yeah wicked low mileage - pity really but it's gonna clock up pretty quick.
EDIT: Everyone's gotta learn, hehe... of COURSE everyone's gotta lean :) Howdo to yoo too bigbaddad
You tend to ramble on? You'll fit in great then :D
That really does look mint condition!
Hi btw!
Thanks souldude, I feel welcome already... just like home (sniff) ;)

Hehe you know how it is, when you gotta shpeil you gotta shpeil! Yeah it really is a minty, wish I had some better photos but it's pi*sing it down atm. pants. No scratches, stone chips or anything - almost a pity to ride it. Well almost... first mof, on went the R&G crash protectors, more for the mind than anything else (hopefully!) :safe:

And we've already got a Banannaman on the forum, so you cant rename yourself!
Ooops no avatar - sorted that, something representative of what's going on behind the lid... :smt084

But that's not fair, I actually AM bananaman. Just don't flaunt it like the rest of the superheros do - it scares the children :)
Cripes us two are gonna look a right pair on a ride-out. Though my gear is, of course, far less cool 8-[ I'm gonna HAVE to get some pictures up now...
EDIT: p.s. I'm glad you're in blue / yellow, you wouldn't believe the stick I've got...

Yeah but do you have a cape, noob type person?
Every super hero needs a cape.
Aye, just MOT'd and taxed my rather splendid yellow Sv today, god I have missed her growl, her custom top yoke, her shiny dowpipe, her sumptious Corbin seat...........
Folks I think Dizz has found her mojo....it was in the bottom of Suzys airbox ;)

How dooo
Hmm I really am getting the madhouse thing - just so long as some big native american doesn't get pis*ed off and throw my bike out the shower block... oh, wait, :offtopic:
(liking the appropriately daft smileys) thx apollo & andrewsmith :) Thanks tommy, though I'm glad the curvy isn't in the room right now cos if it heard you say that... :smt066 hehe :p
dizzy, what's this about a corbin seat? I'm intrigued, I mean the standard one is comfy but I am, and always have been, a bit of an andrex puppy... and yes, the cape. Well I have a proper one once but children, fear etc. it didn't work out. Missed it terribly though, had to get another but it's now cunningly disguised as an SV, how clever is that ;) Lets me fly and all...
