Hi everyone,
Been loitering for a while and you all seem like a very nice bunch, so thought it might be time to introduce myself, especially seeing as I'm now the proud owner of a lovely '06 pointy. \\:D/
Picked it up from the local dealer, mint condition with only 1300 miles on it. Somebody bought it and then practically left it in the garage for 4 years, can you believe that?
Anyway, don't intend on spending too much time on here mind you - I'm planning on being out there, especially when the summer finally gets here!

Yes, some obviously knew they'd made a big mistake by buying a Pointy and couldn't face the shame of selling it ;):p
Hello, see you at Great Bentley sometime, if this weather improves

Haha! Maybe that's what it was. Their mistake is my gain I reckon! :D
Yes indeed, work and weather permitting I shall be loitering around them there parts on the odd Wednesday evening.

Welcome nuke, they're all mad here but mostly harmless. If it's been in a garage for 4 years, it's going to need a damn good thrashing to wake it up. Oh, the hardship!

Hello :smt039
Good Evening :smt039
and welcome to the madhouse :smt119
Its ok that you own a pointy, but by doing so you realise that you will always ride an inferior bike.
Welcome to the org - don't feed the animals!

Thanks for all the welcomes everyone!

I've never been lucky enough to ride a curvy so I have no idea what I'm missing out on. :D
Gotta say though, loving this bike so far. The work commute just got so much more interesting.

Welcome aboard. Don't worry about the curvey v pointy debate.
Some people just like riding old bikes and some people don't.

good morning and hello
and please do feed the animals, it's fun :D
Keep an eye on the tyres, chain and brake fluid if it has sat for 4 years. I'd be tempted to do a thorough service of it for peace of mind.

I was too. Got it fully serviced and a fresh MOT on it before riding it away.

Hello from just up the road. I never make it home in time on Wednesdays to get to Great Bentley but often get along to Finchingfield at the wekend, or sometimes hit the good roads from Great Dunmow up to Epping for a cup of coffee and slice of swiss roll.
