those you that knew i used to have a white sv650 which is now sold

got my new play toy finished and cant wait to get it rolling. Although the sv650 gets me to work and hardly breaks (despite broken speedo and ignition recently) 70 bhp and no top end is just a tad boring. although admittedly comfortable compare to the cbr ride

i can never make up my mind what to put on it so nothing. I dont know how to apply graphics and stickers look tacky. and if i want to sell it, would you rather a bike with S*** all over it or just plain.

although tempted to put a speed stripe on it ;)

Bit harsh to compare the Sv to the CBR in your title :(

If it wasn't such a popular bike, we wouldn't have this forum

We know its limitations and short comings

But it isn't a bland IL4

Oh look, yet another 600cc sports bike...

*yawns*

It's not compulsory to buy one immediately after your first bike folks, have a little imagination...

lol, i felt old because i only like the 2005-2006 cbr as i have always wanted since i got into bikes, i know its typical sports bike but thats what i like, simple plain coloured sports bike.

wont ever sell the SV650 as i have done 30,000 and its not worth much yet the sound it makes when moving through traffic is perfect.

and its easy to rid, i stalled cbr600rr about 5-6 times when i ride it home because you cant roll on low revs like the twin.

plus off the lights its beats all sports bikes ;). until about 30mph then the whole world goes past. this country speed limits, its just the ticket.

And I bought a litre bike with upright seating and a large screen.

Slow, boring, pedestrian,

All words that don't describe 1050cc triples!

the bike cost me £3750 second hand which is cheaper then a brand new sv650

the cbr has 3000 miles on it, so i guess it does cost more. but when you try doing any form of service on it you realize why costs so much. because theres so much s*** in the way. and i couldnt believe the spark plugs are £81 for four!!!!!

my friend just bought triumph sprint. only thing i can say about it, comfy, fast and heavy.

we found this out when he took apart the front of the bike and front wheel off only on centre stand. he thought three people could move it only on it back wheel about 10 meters to the shed which involved a small hill and green. we basically dropped it staight on the floor once the centre stand was kicked back and spent 20 minutes getting it back. mean while the pave slab below it shattered under the weight and ants decided to crawl up our legs. LOVELY :)
