View Full Version : Good place for tyres these days
Hi Folks,
Had me trusty steed out for a few spins again recently and am in dire need of new tyres. Have read some good things about Michelin Pilot Power 2CTs, so thought I would give them a go.
Anyone noticed any good deals on these? West/central locations prefered, just in case I need to go back for some reason.
Will probably end up in MOM for convenience...

I haven't used 2CT's, but after using Strathern Tyres in Crieff that's where I head for for my tyres.
They do a fast efficient service for the right price.
It's a nice wee run through there.
Drop the bike off, go for a coffee and they call you when it's done.
Last year I got the "Your bike is ready call" 45 minutes after dropping it off with them.

I'm using the Pilot Road 3's. I used powers but found that they didn't last as long and we're that much better overall.
I generally get my tyres from Jim Allan
Pilot Road 3's were £235 fitted to loose tyres, Tosh at Strathearn wanted £265 fitted to the bike...

i am glad someone has put this post up as i will need new tyres on my bike when i get back.
It may be a bit far for you but DM Motorcycle Tyres in Dundee is really good and I used him before. Geordie always has special offers on so may be worth having a look there.
Just paid £125 for a rear Avon Storm 2 Ultra fitted at Cupar
I've gone to Kenny at Bike Revs in Ardrossan the last couple of times. 07790 115628.
Anyone tried Rid n Fit in Paisley?

I have just had two pilot road 2's delivered today. Ordered them from www.thevisorshop.com (http://www.thevisorshop.com) at the cost of £195 delivered. I now need to get them fitted but reckon £20 will cover that at a local bike garage.
