Philanthropy... set up loads of new businesses to provide employment opportunities.. Technology, Health & Beauty spa company and probably some kind of cake & biscuit outfit to start with :)

i would do the sensible thing and spend about 35 million helping out friends and family and a home for us cars bikes etc then the rest i would leave in the bank and live off the interest at about 3% interest you are looking at 3-4 mill a year, i can just about scrape by on that lol

I'd also give a big bit of cash to Kev Coghlan so he can get a decent ride. I think he needs a bit of luck after the season he's had so far.

actually, how much would it cost to build something like cadwell park but in north yorkshire?

05-07-11, 11:37 AM
I'd give £153 million away. After I'd bought a new bike, car & house £2.25 mill leave somewhere in the region of £1.5k per week to live on without touching the capital... do I really need anymore than that?

Hmm.

New motocrosser and rebuild the SV, custom paint, modify the lot. Once the bike was in the shop being done, I would do me, new boobs, get my face done, more tattoos...

Quit my job and move somewhere nice with good roads/tracks and build my own bikes for a living, mainly push bikes, but maybe the odd streetfighter too.

Maybe do a Triumph
Buy up a defunct bike manufacturer and build it back up again.
Now who owns BSA these days?

I would buy a massive house with loads of land, build my own private race track around my land and spend about £20million on exotic cars and motorbikes. I'd give my dad £10million to start a property business up and give my mum and him £5 million just to blow. My brother and sister could have anything they wanted as long as it wasnt stuuuuuuupid and they just asked as I would have already bought them big houses and give them a massive allowance each year to live off.
I think I could quite easily waste all that money :)

Id actually have a full tank of fuel in the car. With the change id buy sweets...

Actaully with that sort of money i would do some amazing stuff for my favourite charites. Then i would buys lots of stuff. Cars, boats, houses, all the usual stuff.

I'd still be a grumpy git though

I always think of brewster's millions when I see threads like this.

Given all the people that have won huge amounts of money why have we never seen anyone fill a swimming pool with money or grapes or whatever takes their fancy? now THAT would be a news story!

I always play the normal lotto and play the euromillions for a big prize (I dunno why, I don't know what I'd do with £1million let alone 153 of them but it still seems better) but I can't comprehend that amount of cash, normal things just don't cut it. Yet investing in a future technology would soon eat up that small amount!

Don't think I'd want a massive house, I'd probably do a self build, I've always fancied one of these:
http://www.topsider.com/images/cm/cm-0202.gif
Straight out of tracey island, I'm sure I could buy a nice plot to sit it on and the planners permission to build such an odd thing ;)
I'm not sure I'd stick around in the UK though.

TBH I would have a few plans with the first bit on money:

Pay off mortgages for a few friends and family;
Put some money in trust for when some of the friends kids reach 18 etc.....
New house, new car, new bike (nothing too splash).
Follow the cricket team round Australia or where ever they are touring next.
Buy a couple of properties to rent out etc.

That would probably leave me with £150M which I would have no idea how to spend.

Edit: Having said that there is a lock-keepers cottage near me which is shaped like a windmill that I wouldnt mind doing as a project. I'm sure I could 'lose' quite a bit of money in that.

I would give it all away.

whether this be tongue in cheek or 100% geniune or partially your intention it does indeed bring up the point that this is just a ridiculously collosal sum of money and not one that any of us could really comprehend. I love going on holiday, absolutley love everything about it from the moment i finish work to getting to the airport the check in, getting to destination, discovering local areas, dishes etc etc. but thats probably mainly because i work hard (ish) throughout the year to afford a holiday. if money were no object - which after winning this sum it would not be a worry ever again - the gloss would surely be taken off a holiday. I know where im going will be amazing cos i've paid top dollar for it. I could go where i wanted when i wanted.

mind you, i'd happily have a crack at the problem :D

Just imagine you gave 50 million --- 50 MILLION!!! --- to charity you'd still have 100 million left. Jeepers figures that makes the mind boggle!

I'd buy the word boggle.

I'd open my own birth centre*. Most of that capital would be kept secreted off shore lest someone decided to sue me because they didnt like the wall paper.

We have a syndicate at work. The entire relief is in.

If we win, we're going to play bumper cars with the traffic cars!

Me?

I'd be moving to the Italian lakes, buy a few cars, a few bikes, a Riva motor launch and enjoy the quiet life.

I'd buy every Honda RC30 in the world by one means or another, just so I could be the only person left in the world to have the pleasure of riding them. I'd also buy a fully kitted out Harley and collect it on a day I know would be busy at the dealers, ride it up the road, ride it back, then kick it on its side and set fire to it whilst loudly proclaiming what an utter pile of crap it is.

Employ a wealth management company
Buy loads of shiz (the usual)
Give some to charity
Sell my business
Hire an expert on how to ensure my kids don't become spoilt brats
Sort out immediate family and best mate

Go pick up my cheque, immediately phone all of my closest friends/relatives and tell them to meet me at the closest airport ASAP. Take them to LA for an indeterminate length of time, provide clothes etc and penthouse suites.

When I came home I would buy many cars: Veyron, Murcielago SV, Gallardo Superleggera, Aventador, Koenigsegg Agera, amongst others I find on the way.

Then I would build a them park out my back, mainly Stealth for £12mill. Anyone who has ever been to Thorpe Park will know what i'm on about ;)

Buy a house in exotic places, Hawaii, LA, Monaco, Dubai/Abu Dhabi.

Then i would start my own supercar dealership business :)

Owenski

I wouldn't want to win that amount at max 5 mill will do

If i did win I would probably give it away to charity.
Buy a couple of class 1 lifeboats, Wildlife hospital, Beatson unit and Yorkhill.

Though I would have great fun lording up over my sister in law as I wouldn't give her a penny.

In Northern Irish, it's still chav... but a chav is someone who buys vauxhall nova's or peugeot 306 straight diesels and slams them to the ground with stupidly loud exhausts and tinted windows...

thankfully i am not that

20million to various charities.
Big house for my mum with cleaner/butler.
Holiday till I'm bored, whilst 'test driving' each country to decide where to live.
Settle down and start my car/bike collection.
Set up a race team or become involved in motorsport somehow.

£166m now people.... last roll over, if it doesnt go the prizes get distributed down accordingly (i think) so the smaller prizes will therefore be greater (i think again)

id just enjoy being able to do my weekly shop without having to count it up as I go round. ok so I wouldnt need £156 million to do that. I do think that is too much for one person to win, better to make 156 millionaires.
