Paddy - does the bike have a 'flat beam' E.U. headlight? Does it have a digital speedo that can toggle between mph and kph? Might be interested but would want to register it in Germany.

Can't comment on the headlight but yes you can change from Miles to KMs, it's a simple "press and hold" two buttons to make the switch. Not done it but it's in my users manual.

Edit: Hmm just looked again and the option says (UK only) underneath. Mines Spanish... I'm guessing you'd be fine.

Says that in the manual but have not had a chance to try it.

Not sure about the headlight and dont know how to find this out.

Got it up on Aberdeen bikers as well?

To test headlight beam you can:
- take it to your local MOT place and they'll be able to tell you in 3 seconds
- place bike about 5 metres from a wall, switch on light (best in dark!) and look if beam on wall is exactly in line with headlight (flat beam) or if it drops to one side or the other (dipped beam)

I'd only be interested if it has a flat beam and then, only provisionally. Leave it up to you whether you can be arsed.

Hi mate

Sorry I have not been intouch, weekends are my busiest times. I can confirm you can swith from MPH - KPH but I could not get a definative answer about the headlight...I get what you mean about the light beam so I will do that tomorrow and let you know.

Thanks

Paddy

Just agreed a deal with Paddy :D

ps. is there a thread for newbie introductions? I've said "hello" in the Ecosse section but wasn't sure if there was a general section:confused:

the hello section would be making your own thread in idle banter
