Ive done it, I passed my Mod 2 today in crappy conditions, one minute it was hot and dry the next it was ****ing down... nasty roads, tosser drivers, but i made it.

This past couple of days of training has taken me out of my comfort zones and thrown some nasties my way, but none the less once id passed i got home and took my SV out.

Shes been sitting in my garage since the Royal Wedding and her first outing got soaked through, she was bought on a promise of fine sunny Sunday outings but I just needed to get back out in the wet and take her for a spin... 21.7 miles locally before we got a complete drenching, then i started feeling the damp and decided that id had enough riding for the past 2 days.

Its a scary thing being out without my instructor telling me what to do, when to do it and where to go... I am nervous and i think it probably shows if youre in the car behind. It will take time to get to know the bike and get to know how to ride it, but for now im home safe n wet.

Sorry to hear about YMB's off, thats kinda taken the shine off it for me as i know these things happen.

I did consider coming down the Weston Bike Night tomorrow, but feel its a bridge too far just at the moment. I got nervous when out on my own this afternoon in the rain and its gonna take some getting used too. Im used to sitting in my big car and braking and turning whenever.

If any SV650 orgers are near, Yate, Bristol, and fancy going for a run - please dont hesitate to contact me, id love to hear from someone with a bit of experience. Untill i join a notorious gang, i have no biker buddies :o)

Hi all,

passed my Mod2 2 weeks ago and owned my SV for just over a week.

Also live in North Bristol (Baileys Court) and keen to find people to go for a ride with and learn from.
Hope to go for a ride soon

Cheers
Al

Oh wow lots of close people.

I live in Stoke Gifford. However, you won't learn anything from me.

Hello Darlings,

Aunty Jayne here, SV rider, Extreme Metal lover and provider of music for Weston Bike Night. Obviously I am based in Weston and Bike Night is also obviously brilliant. If you want to head over, but wish to take it steady, just use the A370, is a nice road and not too quick which can be very reassuring when still learning road craft.

I am often about, usually have some silly comment to pass and can be seen dancing alone to good tunes occasionally holding a barn owl! It is a Bike Night thing. I look forward to meeting more of you, Federer can you tell you, I am only a little bit scary!

Hugs
