10x7m pitch, trying to suss out the best way to sort us some cover if the weather turns against us...
3x3m gazebo's are cheap enough but I don't want our stall to look like a vicars tea party, tarpaulin would be effective but looks as though it needs some well thought out rigging all triangulated and pegged down (bit tricky as I've a feeling our plot will be hard up against the neighbouring plots on each side)....
Can anyone recomend decent cheap weather protection to cover the front 4 metres of the stall (7 metres wide)
Thanks in advance

It wont fill your patch but you'll have enough room at the side for a ping pong table - bound to bring the punters in!

It involves your van , these and a rope

slightly more than I was hoping to pay (and it's not even ended yet) plus I don't have trailer entitlement on my licence :( tbf the lot would fit inside the back of our renault master though? Would just need to take a ramp to drag the trailer up & inside the van then sell that later on if we don't need/can't use it...

See, now if the van didn't have to be parked underneath it, that'd be perfect, but the idea of the tarp/gazebo is to keep stock dry... Surely there's something like that which doesn't require a vehicle to be inside it?? What's the proper technical/product name for them?

ackshually I've just measured out 16x16ft and dropped it onto the plot on computer - it'll fug up our layout of vehicles (won't be able to fit the t4 and the renault master on the plot with the market-tarp setup.. gutted!)

Wooden poles or plastic piping and clips that the market traders use, length twine and weights, roll of tape
Pipe or poles out of the front windows another taped to the roof weights back and front plus sides
Alternativelly a second hand wind-out awning----7m for a Sprinter cost us £1800.

oh so you've got 10x7m but thats got to include the footprint for 2 vans. so more or less you've got 10x3m or 5x7m to erect your stall.

Marquee
You can get the sides for them, a couple of the North East minitwiners had one with the sides in

Lol is a marquee not just a gazebo without sides?

Yarp, this is how it's looking so far - the renault master is there to carry all the stock/equipment, and as we're allow to camp on our pitch the t4 is gonna be there as well - pop up awning can be errected later on in the day when we've sold some stock and made some space, effectively we've got around 7x6m of space to trade on

cheers andrew - the suggestion of the marquee has turned up this: http://www.marqueesandpartytents.co.uk/3m%20x%206m%20standard-p-8903.html
should be adequate enough and doesn't have the horrific cream & green stripes on it... will have a search around and find best price, then see if it's possibly to reserve one until the week leading upto the event. If pressure systems and weather looks good then might save the £200 :) prolly gonna need one for various shows next year but as this will be the first show I wanna be a little bit careful :) thanks guys!

I bought a 10x20ft marquee off ebay a couple of months back for the AR. 56 quid it cost me. I scoured the place for weeks and found one local pick up only, and won!
Its an industrial strength one, the poles are 2 inch diameter, and very heavy, just be careful what you buy as some are really flimsy, I got a steal with this one.....just not got any where to test it!
its like this one
