When is it going to stop?

I have a new back tyre with 0 miles on it, it needs a good scrub.

But not in this.

Question, are some parts of the country still on drought orders?

There's nothing much on the Met Office about drought (apart from a few stories about the dry spring this year), a few news items about threats of hosepipe bans, and this:

EDIT: We've just had a massive downpour here... it's eased off but it's still coming down quite heavily. The building is entirely metal so we can hear it clearly.

It hasn't stopped here for two days. BUT, can't grumble as I've had my washing out in lovely sunshine for at least a week. I'll only get peed off when it all piles back up again.

The Pennines, never much sun here, damp and miserable most of the time.

Sandpaper to "scrub" them in? Angle grinder?? Just be careful if you go for the latter Tim - don't want your new tyre looking like the old one!!!!

Made no difference to us! We've been out in the rain all afternoon, it was dry in parts though so not all bad.

Young Tim stop complaining man! Here I have to be up at 7.00 a.m in order to take my 16 week old Labrador out for a walk before it gets too hot. Then I have to wait until close to 9.00 p.m when temps have begun to drop down again in order to take her out again. For the rest of the day forget it, she would cook in the heat.

Weather update - after raining all weekend, spoiling my parent's visit, I am now back in the office and... it's no longer raining....

Better than for stepping on the cracks on the pavement. Or others on PC Savages list of possible offences.

Edit, Sir T, it may not be raining down sarf. because you have sent it all oop norf. Lashing it down.

Welll its gone from black to grey here, and stl no sign of the rain stopping.

My tomato plants are soggy, and I'm sure a previous 'fixed' leak in the roof is making the bedroom ceiling bulge :(

No sign of it clearing up in the near future, if you believe what they say on various weather sites. Ain't stopped me though to be honest, been out all weekend, rain or shine. The way things are looking it's either that or give up on the bike for the rest of this year. ;)

I've just had a new pair of Pirelli Angels delivered. Pretty good in the wet, so I'm told.....looks like I'll find out soon enough.
