This is turning into a new hobby for me and is completely addictive! :)

Its very popular over here on the BC coast and it's where the inspiration comes from for the Winter Olympic logo (http://images.travelpod.com/tripwow/photos/ta-009a-f030-356f/the-2010-winter-olympics-logo-whistler-canada+1152_12813232869-tpfil02aw-29768.jpg)

The idea is you just build them on the beach and leave them for someone else to enjoy. if you're tempted you can add another rock... just don't knock it over!

The best ones look like they just shouldn't be possible and there's only one rule.. No glue :) technically using barnacle covered rocks is cheating but I was still learning :)

Enjoy...

While I like balancing stuff, I find this interesting and very weird at the same time, there were shed loads of rocks on the beach at porlock, Somerset the weekend, wish I'd have thought of this, instead we just threw them :)

I'm off to Lyme Regis for a few weeks where I shall, again, balance rocks.

It's thoughtful good fun.

This guy is very good and likes helping people learn the tricks.

Yep, I met him a few years ago, he does a display on the beach. I had a play and went off to Charmouth beach and did these!

They are cool. There were some of them at Smoo Cave when we were touring last year

Although I think it's really cool, how long can you "leave them for someone else to enjoy" before the wind takes the precariously but lovingly made structures out? And are you bored of fishing now Carl? :-P
