Do it Sunday :p

Can't I'm afraid, as I am garageless I have booked an appointment at a mates house. On the plus side his garage comes with an awesome supply of tools and refills of coffee and biscuits.

Oh and also Sunday is the backup day for when something goes wrong on Saturday, but hopefully I won't be needing it [-o<

:smt064: How about a ride on Sunday then I can test out the new sus :riding:

Cheers for a good ride. Was a laugh. That road would be so much better though without the Average Speed cameras.

Dave20046

damn right! It's just a constant worry even though you know they're useless.

metalhead19
30-07-11, 08:20 PM
Yeh, does spoil the road abit.

Specialone
30-07-11, 11:42 PM
You can see why it was the worst road for accidents though can't you, some of them tight corners have crash written all over them.

I just haven't got the confidence to take them the speeds you guys were doing, far too much out of my lazy comfort zone.

Thanks for the ride though, somewhere different and them fish and chips were amazing :)

In fairness they're just tight bends it's not like they're unpredictable. Atleast you can see far enough to tell it's safe to do a speed of your choosing if you choose wrong then fair enough, I find it safer then a lot of tree/bush lined blind corners a lot of bikers chuck themselves round.

mmm chips

I think it's the Armco right next to the road with no margin for error that's intimidating and the drop behind it lol

I never know what speed to go tbh, I go round lots of corners and come out thinking I could've gone 20mph quicker easy then, but when I try going quicker I sometimes get round a corner and wish I'd took it slower as it felt too much.

On a track it probably wouldn't bother me at all, it's all in my head maybe :(

Awesome! What you make of it? I need to go back at some point, only ever been along it with a pillion onboard. Oh and it's a good job I didn't leave the suspension fitting till today, took me some of Friday afternoon and alll of yesterday.

Much improved now though :)

Touché. Got to admit it I did have to force myself not to focus on the almost certain death on one of them. Think it was the first tight right hander after the pub, just confronted with an armco, massive drop and disappearing road.

Everyone gets 'could have done that faster' thought coming out of a bend but it's much better to think that than the other way!

Surprised of the lack of police presence in general yesterday, we were going to all the obvious places. Me and g went past one scamera van but that was it .

Tbh, I prefer faster flowing bends without average speed cameras, they take too much concentration for me to get in the flow, as dave said, it's really easy to focus on the wrong thing which is a bad thing to do.

I think if I rode it a few times I'd get more comfortable with it, I had a little play in my car with a BMW x5 on my first trip there a couple of years and that was a right laugh :)

Me and Dan had a bit of a suicidal BMW driver attempting to follow us on way home, we had to show him what real speed / acceleration was :p

That guy was abit of a ****. He did seem to give up trying to under-take/overtake us in the end though....and settle into following us on and off the same bit of road as we got abit directionally challenged

Yeah sorry about that dude, I was really pi55ed with myself for doing that but in my defence the stupid sign did say services straight on then changed to right.

Was a bit concerning when you said he'd followed us even on our detour.

Haha, yeh signs were abit daft. We made it fine there eventually.
Yeh, was watching him in my mirrors for ages. He kept over taking the same cars as us, took the same exits, and even followed us off onto the roundabout and then back on again when we went straight over. Think we lost him when we did that U turn on the roundabout.

You may be funny looking all the time but you're certainly not verbally amusing this often, so what's changed???

Anyway, stop derailing my thread :(
