View Full Version : Renthal Flat Blue Bars and Risers (Conversion)
As the title, Set of as good as new renthal flat bars in blue, used for a few days then went back to clip ons.
£20 posted
Also have a set of risers to fit them, they can be fitted to S yokes if you drill them. Cheaper then the comfort kit and works without new hoses and cables. Allows for a more upright seating position.

Or £45 posted for both.
Any questions or offers drop me a PM and will get back to you asap!

Chris

are all the cables and lines routed in the original way. I have looked at the comfort kit and you have to reroute a lot of stuff to make it fit. I am looking for higher bars but keeping the original routing. have you got any pictures of the bars on the bike?
Mine were all routed in the normal way but with a few small mods. There is a bolt that holds the brake hose to the bottom yoke, i took that off to give an inch more slack with out it pulling on the hose and modded a small part of the leaver so that the banjo could be vertical, again for a tad more slack. Other then that all was stock and had no issues while i ran them. Fitted it all in an hour with no further work. Will have a look for pictures, but not sure i have any :/

I bought a bike off the forum last year with the top yoke professionally drilled at a machine shop and the riser plates fitted. The chap had fitted triumph handlebars that were a close match to the naked SV bars. He used the original throttle cables and a v-strom clutch cable which is a couple of inches longer.
I already had renthal bars and an AB yoke and riser plate with a longer clutch cable, so I took off his yoke, riser plate, triumph bars and clutch cable. You can have the lot for £50 posted if you want (original sv drilled yoke, riser bars, triumph handlebar, bar end weights - if i can find them, v-strom clutch cable). If you are interested, I'll dig them out of the garage and take some photos for you and post them up here. If you don't want the triumph bars, I'll do the yoke and bits for £35 posted.
You can use the original throttle cable with some re-routing, but you'll need new brake lines. I bought some braided lines for the naked SV from this guy (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suzuki-SV650-SV650S-SV-Front-Stainless-Brake-Line-Kit-/180424003513?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item2a021bcfb9#ht_927wt_1110) on ebay for about £50. Have used this guy for a few things and he is pretty decent and does a quick service on brake lines. When ordering just tell him it's for a naked SV not faired (even though you are fitting to faired) otherwise the lines will be too short.

That's a point, you can reroute the clutch but you'll need longer throttle cables I think.

Frankie, I managed to get some photos for you of everything. Everything works and in decent condition, but it has been used so there are the odd marks on the yoke you can see in the pics. Let me know if you are interested.
Cheers,
Al.
