I'm currently looking for a new lid and am considering the Shuberth C2 (as I can get one cheapish atm) or the Shark Evoline Series 2. Both are flip-up lids, though the Shark flips right back, so can be worn like an open-face lid. They both have integral sun visors. I suspect that the Schuberth would be the quieter of the two.

Current lid is a Schuberth R1, but needs replacing. It's a top quality lid and really comfortable.

Anyone have any experience of either the C2 or the Evoline?

I've tried the Evoline on, and it was absolutely horrible. The sun visor knocks you on the nose. The flip over mechanism for the helmet itself is a right faff.

Go play with one, its likely you'll be a tad disappointed.

I use a Schuberth C2, very comfortable and quiet BUT @ 1.82kg heavy. I also find as a spectacle wearer the vision angles are restricted? also when riding a sports style bike because the helmet sits low (unless I have a short neck) the side to side movement can be very difficult however this lessens when riding in a more upright position i.e. touring bike.
Hope my comments help.
