Hello all, most of you probably wont have heard,
last sunday whilst out for a spin on Skye with wulfie and co, i was heading back towards portree when a silly girl was driving down a driveway on the left, she braked to a halt at the junction, so i braked too, noticed she had seen me so i carried on, then to my amazment and disbelief she just pulled right out in front of me and decided to stop blocking both lanes!
Well done!
I managed to slam on the brakes and swerve around the front of her, but seen as she hadnt stopped moving the gap was closing fast! missed the front of the car by around an inch, then the rear wheel caught the gravel on the verge and i went don on the left hand side of the bike at 35-40mph and slammed into the kerb under the grass with my pelvis! :crutches:
Luckily however i crashed outside a nurses house and the car behind was a nurse on holiday! Rushed down to broadford hospital then airlifted to Raigmore 1st thing monday morning with suspected broken pelivs.
Scans showed no breaks or fractures, thank god! Just very heavy bruising down my back, left leg, left side, hip and ass! Apparently the bike was ok and better off than me, i still havent seen it, cut out of leathers, so their fubar!
It was the fazer thankfully and not the R1! Months of rest to come and no riding for quite a while! Home last night and soo glad to be out of hospital!
