A long time ago in a distant galaxy the empire destroyed a planet of small people near the outer rim. Having destroyed it they continued to patrol the area in their battle cruisers, and would lie in wait with their phasers aimed back up the flight path of anyone fleeing the planet of Turner's Mill.

I came out of orbit and engaged hyperdrive as I accelerated towards free space but saw the lurking battlecruiser too late. Even with my Jedi powers fully applied it was to late..... "you're nicked mate!"

Roughly translated as the local council demolished a school on the edge of town, and the Police use the layby beyond there to set up their camera van. As I left the estate and accelerated towards the NSL sign I spotted the van and slammed on the brakes...42 in a 30. First speeding ticket in 34 years. And as some can testify, I'm not known for driving Miss Daisy. Oh the shame!

I got done for 35 in a 30 on a road that a week earlier was 40. Down hill round a bend and the b'stard was waiting. I didn't qualify for a speed awareness course as it was my first conviction in 30 years.

Sometimes, it is natures way of telling you that your jedi senses are failing.

Haven't counted, but similar story here. High mileage and speeding (in NSL's or really daft 40/50 limits only mind), the occasional ticket goes with the turf.
