Guys I wanted to pick your brains about something. A few-word answer is all I ask for:
Suppose you're trying to find a blog which expresses opinions and analysis on current affairs, written mainly by young, educated people (including Muslims, Christians, Athiests etc. (basically has contributions from all walks of life)...what terms would you type in Google's search engine?
Thanks in advance

Young educated people, why you could type SV650.ORG?
Or you could try this
http://www.ukdebate.co.uk/
But do not type this http://englishdefenceleague.org
Unless you want to wind them up?

thanks for that mate :smt023 Will check out the links.
Also, the other thing is I'm trying to get into writing, so i'm part of a blog site my self.
So suppose someone wanted to search on Google for "blog which expresses opinions and analysis on current affairs, written mainly by young, educated people (including Muslims, Christians, Athiests etc. (basically has contributions from all walks of life)"....what might someone actually type into google?
If you already know the URL of the website there's no need to Google it clearly. So it's the search query that I'm more interested in.

Have you tried a keyword research tool, e.g. the free one with Google AdWords? Good a place to start as any...

I haven't tried that, but will do. Thanks for the tip.
And just out of curiosity, what would you type to find the sort of blog I'm looking for?
"blog+current+affairs"
has a pretty good hit return rate.
3rd down is this: http://www.networkedblogs.com/topic/Current_Affairs/
that was just a very quick google

You are a bad man, that had me in fits!
I never realised that they are Human rights group (yeah right!), then I read their mission statement. Not sure that they are broadcasting the right message to be honest.
The Government should protect the individual human rights of members of British Muslims. :smt119
I swear to you, this is not edited... :smt083
So there you are chaps, if you are a Muslim man, the EDL want to protect your "Member"! :smt044

Have you considered searching on Wordpress and Blogspot? Those are the two biggest sites for stuff like that, my dad writes a current affairs blog (mostly complaining about economics) and gets readers from all over the world. I think you can tag your blog so people looking for certain topics can find you more easily.
I can't check this in work, alas, all sites of that nature are blocked.

Following on from the initial post, I made a start on writing:
http://aaageo.blogspot.com/2011/08/keeping-acive-during-summer-holidays.html
http://www.the-platform.org.uk/2011/07/06/dragons%E2%80%99-den-or-the-apprentice-which-popularised-entrepreneurship/
Both links take you to the same article (except the second has been edited by someone). The article is about entrepreneurship in the UK.
