I wouldnt expect great accuracy for that price tbh, I've got a mititoyo one so don't need one :)

They're great. Just remember to take out the battery once you've used it

How can it be a digital vernier guage?

A vernier is a scale slightly smaller than the adjacent scale that allows the next unit of measurement to be established by its alignment

Same as a hoover is a vacuum cleaner etc.

Nobody calls them calipers at work, just verniers.

I bought a digital caliper for a similar price, tested it on a shim, was spot on.

It looks identical to those sold by Clarkes so it should be fairly reasonable.

They are good but eat batteries so when u need it its flat :(

Got an analogue one for £12.99 at the stafford show last year much better.

looks identical to mine, had it years. Mine goes through batteries too, but often its because they just dont sit correctly, piece of card above sorted it.

I've had mine for a couple of years now and never replaced the batteries yet. Don't use it that often though and no doubt next time I come to use it, sod's law will dictate the battery will be flat!
