Hey Guys

It looks like MrsCombat is working this weekend, so if come Thursday night the weather forecast looks good, I'm thinking of chucking the tent on the bike and heading to Applecross.

I stop work at noon on Friday, so would leave Glasgow Friday lunchtime. Camping Friday and Saturday then returning on Sunday. Saturday will be a wee run up the coast.
Was thinking of Ullapool for lunch, but don't want a heavy day, so might turn back at Poolewe, have coffee and cake at Torridon then back to Applecross for some pub based chill time.

I was going to just head off myself for a bit of bike based me time, but that sounded a bit poooofy, so wondered if anyone else fancied it.

Got a wedding on this weekend, otherwise I might well have jumped at this!

That sounds like an ace idea! Sometimes, just sometimes, I'd like to live up there.

I'm working this weekend and my kit is still wet from Skye last weekend. :-(

There's nothing poooofy about 'bike based me time' by the way, sounds good. Have fun. :-)

I would have done, but mini me doesnt have her helmet and the girls and I have a date that involves cocktails and cupcakes so you're failing on enticing bribes!

Have fun!

I'd have went but getting bike MOT'd on Saturday morning then having a BBQ (rain, hail or snow) for my Dads birthday.

So I'm out. Have a good one.

50:50 on the weather the last few days, and looking much the same til Friday mate. I'd have popped over one evening but the tuono hasn't recovered from gm4 - got a mega-soaking on my way home and drowned the clocks. Hasn't been moved since. :-(

I'm heading off to Applecross Tuesday morning with a few of the boys for a lap of Skye and an overnighter. Just go for the B&B option and pack light.

Hopefully the weather's good.

Aw 'Fred!....shame it hadn't been the week-end before! I was up there for a Norton rally. The weather was pretty awful really. The band (who were excellent) had to play along at the Firestation/Community Hall (2 years ago the band played in the street outside of the Applecross Inn). Judy from the Applecross Inn took us all along in the Community Minibus! Great fun! Great week-end!

Made last minute decision to abandon Applecross. Too much rain hitting that area, so stayed at home for a boring but dry weekend in East Kilbride. Gutted didn't get to Applecross at all this year. Def make it up next season.

Should have come out with us bud and broken your Carbeth Inn virginity :-0

We started at HG at 10:00 then headed up past the Carbeth taking in roads like the Glen Fruin, Wibbly Wobbly, A83, A819 to Dalmally, A85 to Tyndrum then back along the A82 to Balloch!

Great we run and stayed dry the whole time :-)
