Your opinion means nothing to me ;)

because it's a know quantity to me, obviously not to you, which makes your title statement wrong.
My thread title reflects a discussion had in a previous thread. The only bit that could be seen as wrong is the first part and that's purely subjective.

Arh so it's incomplete (without knowing the other thread you refer to then), as a new thread I took it on face value and answered accordingly, i mistakenly thought you were after opinions on a bike you linked to, I think IB is ----> way.
Cheers Mark.
But my previous thread was in the EAR section, like this is ;)

In my highly edumacated and quite frankly superior opinion i would say...
if you want it go get it but give me your sv as a nice gift for my honest and valuable opinion ;)

That is not what I implied, however most people who tend to use this area would know what I was talking about. That's all.
Please could you share your reasons why you don't seem to be a fan of the bike?
I thought you'd gheyed out of 2 wheelsville?
It was thoughts. It still is thoughts. The bike is still unused since last month and sitting in the garage gathering dust. I am undecided as what to do still.
Are you seriously tempted by it Reeder? Would it keep you interested in biking?
I am seriously tempted & I think it would keep me interested. However things going on in my life at the moment could have an effect on what financial choices I am able to make with regards to leisure time (as my bike is just a toy/hobby really)... so within a few months I should know whether I can continue biking at this moment in time whether I want to or not (If I havent decided by then)!
Well don't post asking for one then:smt016

I was "using" this area as I do all the regional one from when they were setup, but I've no idea what that has to do with anything ?
You didn't originally ask if I was a fan or not, what you asked was; was it tempting, actually you didn't even ask that, you just presumed it was to everyone

Ok, I understand.
I know I didn't originally but I value your opinion as do much of the org it seems, so if you could share with me your opinions on it then i would be very greatful.

simple from my perspective, I've done that, had an 89 model from new, it is the benchmark "sports bike" and I think every biker should have one at some point, but I'm not a fan of the bland ones, the earlier ones were real performance benchmarks, the up 02, were solid and roomy good alrounders, and the later K6 on more small light and track focused, I happen to think you've chosen the bit where they weren't bad, just weren't as outstanding as they had or have become, bit of a neutral GIXER, and they should never be that, Oh and Dizzy thinks they are Ghey.......;)
But it's the prettiest one I could afford :-P

Without criticising your choice of bike but reasoning yes---You have stated that your SV has sat in the garage for a month, winter is only round the corner,so if you can would it not be better to give yourself some time and come to a positive decision as whether you want to continue

Poor SV, being pushed out for a common as muck bike..........thats ghey.
+1 DT.
If you want to be inspired to keep biking, why don't you save your pennies, and get something reeeeeeeaaaalllly different?

Deep down I want to continue, I just don't know if it's the best thing to do hence the current dilema. I don't really want to go into why again or perhaps some of the reaons that have developed since. You are right that I should take time and decide, which is what I currently am doing. A gsxr is mearly a pipe dream at the moment with my current record and situation, but not impossible in the near future.

As much as I like being different as a person, I couldn't care less if people think my bike is different. I'd be the one to ride it and enjoy it, screw them :) as long as I like it, I dont really care how many of them there are in this world. Plus its not like an SV is a particularly rare bike in itself so I wouldn't really be changing anything in that respect.

Haha i look old, why you young whipper snapper ;) Thing is that was a good few years ago. Glad you're not in to much of a rush to get rid of the bike mate. I don't know what i will do when it comes to the day i cant have a bike anymore. Its not just a bike to me its so much more and would take hours of typing to explain. Keep the faith mate. 'G'
