Right you horrible lot, it's been a LOOOONG time since we have had a ride out, so I thought I would put the feelers out.
What are people doing on Monday? It's a bank holiday don'tcha know. I know the Porlock weekend is this weekend and I hope you guys have a GREAT weekend but for those that are not doing Porlock, do you fancy getting out?
I am going up north this weekend but will be back on Sunday.
My plan is to set off from Morrisons in Chippenham at 10:00 at head over to Wales (could pick people up from Aust services before the old bridge if needed), then I am to go and terrorise the Welsh roads and have a little trip to Abergavveny and Brecons and stuff. Hell I might even revisit alot of the AR10 route.
So there we have it, a flaky plan but let me know if you fancy it, if you do I will make an actual route and aim to be back to Chippenham for early evening.
PEACE

A possibility here, although I will be pillion on Carol's bike due to my bike being in Bike Hospital. You OK for a couple of ropey old tarts (Well, I am ropey and she is a tart!) on a lovely ZRX1100 tagging along? ;-)
Will let you know ASAP if we can make it.

Sad to report that Carol and I wont be able to make it folks. However, on the good news side of things I have a lovely new niece born at just after five AM this morning!
All being well, I shall spend an hour or so cuddling the latest addition to our family. I love being an Aunty.
Hugs all round

Well will be at Aust services at 10:00 and leave at 10:30 if anyone does fancy it. Might not be an all day'er then.
Probably go to Abergavveny, then either off to Llandovery and then follow the AR route from there or possibly off to Rhyader and the Elan Valley.

What time would you think for leaving Aust?
I was planning to have a good morning blast and be in deepest darkest Wales by lunch time, we've got someone dropping in on the digs during the day but do need to be back

I wouldn't fancy waking up much before 10.
Don't worry about me as I don't think thats going to fit in with the rest of the plans.

My passports been renewed since i got a working bike back again... Got something i can go around on without doing my back in! Fireblade was nice, but changed for a Viffer late last year... And not a measly 800cc version either !

Ladies and germany I would like to introduce our prodigal son...
ValleyBurgers, living up to his name as usual (MattSV couldn't do this on the way to AR10, apparantly someone stole his food )

Nope...Dan put the standard seat on so I was fine. Was a very long day and I was still fine. My knees were a bit tight by the time we got home, but nothing major.
Thoroughly enjoyed it to be honest...and Dans riding has changed soooooo much. You would think you were on the back with a different rider now compared to the AR last year. Different is good too :-)

What else is a top box for other than holding food in !?
Could have been worse... Could have had the panniers on and had food in them too !

But you missed a trick... Were you there when Mac99 turned up and pulled a hardboiled egg from his pocket that he proceeded to gorge on?

I was the one who noticed it and drew it to everyone elses attention dear!
Shortly followed by repeated use of the line, "It's ma lucky egg" in a Jamaican accent from the film, Cool Runnin's! ;-)
Ooops, I gotta run x
