Odd I find. Seems he wants to retire at the top but if Pramac is the top then God help us.

If Capirex has a bit more to give then a few seasons in SuperBike would do fine. His later years have been rather damp for a 3 time world champ.

His time is over, my fondest memories of him were when he was riding the factory Ducati he was superb to watch. Tragic how his team mate Sete destroyed his real chances of winning the title during that first corner pile up at Montmelo.

Off topic....Stacey yesterday complained off lack of sleep leaving him drained in the latter stages of yesterdays race. Jetlag you see? Heaven knows how he will handle things when his first child arrives!:p

Well to be fair blaming that on Sete seems a bit harsh, it was certainly a 50-50 accident from what I can see...

As to Loris, as soon as Ducati got rid of him out of the factory his chances of doing anything dried right up, since then he has been an also ran... unfortunately unless they are lucky to get near or full factory support while in a satalite team then they dont have a cat in hells chance of doing anything. Then to compound it with the Ducati's which are seemingly crap anyway with less than factory help they might as well not bother tbh.

Used to enjoy seeing Loris race when he had the machinery to get to the sharp end, shame it had to end!!!

I never blamed Sete for that crash it was all very unfortunate. I was a big fan of Sete when so many were calling him a moaner. He was the first to really face up to Rossi and made the top class very interesting for a couple of seasons. That of course was before the new crop of fantastic talent that we see today was let loose.

P.S. Are we running at some kind of record presently? The longest run without an Italian rider winning a G.P. in the blue riband category? Just wondered.
