Need a car for tomorrow so Im borrowing my dads, Im named driver on the wifes, and Im fully comp on the bike but neither of those cover driving another car.
So popped off to those one day companies thinking "this will be a laugh, watch it be more than the cars worth..."
£20 for the day, doesnt seem too bad to me to be honest for a 26yr old on a ford puma. (group17)
Anyone had experiance of these?
Of the companies or the pumas?

A fair exposure of my poor gramatical structure there Andrew, well done. I was of course refereing the to one day insruance companies.
might be better giving the cash to your dad and getting him to put you on his insurance. my dad used to put me on his insurance 'just in case' and it was only about another tenner.
My brother used the one day insurance thing to drive my dad's car to collect a load of friends a few months ago. He seemed very pleased with it and was also shocked at how cheap it was considering what he was driving :)

Over £200 additional premium plus the admin fee for making the change.
It was considered up until the point we recived that quote lol.
This is only the 2nd time in a year I've needed to drive it but the first time I also owned my own car so I had cover on DOC.

I used it to pick up Big Red, as my other bike was still on cover. Make sure you print off the insurance certificate and keep it with you as these temporary insurances never make it on to any computers used for roadside checks.

What a ****ing rip, who's his insurer? When my car spacked out I managed to nick my mum's for a few days and it was £40 for 2 weeks with direct line. And I'm much younger and more handsome than you
I'm surprised at £20 a day from a temporary insurance place, they quoted me £800 for 6months on my sv lol. Heard Hertz offering an anniversary half price rental deal on the radio the other day, that should make it a similar price. (just another option)

I think its the handsomenessnessness that swung it dave, they obviously hoped you'd offer your services for thier calender in return.
Tbf £20 a day is quite a lot, works out as £7200 a year at the same rate lol.

Oh yeah....I am Miss february.
This is true , but I bet statistically you're much higher risk insuring for one day only (car you're not familiar with, cheap insurance scam etc.) + I wonder if they've priced it like that on purpose, cheaper than renting and just enough for people to think £20 for one day screw it.
P.S I forgot to mention when you were telling me how much money you made off my friendly generous spraying gear deal, neither of those TV's worked when I got 'em home :smt120
what company is that with?
