After getting the bike at the beginning of August, i've not had a chance to really get out on the bike for the whole day. I was never really too confident with the front end, however after fitting new wheel bearings and a new front tyre it was a complete turn around. Managed to get out on the bike today and do about 300 miles over 7 hours, zig zagging from home (Camberley, surrey) across to Bath and then back again. Didn;t touch motorways and avoided dual carriageways if i could. Tried to stick to A & B roads. I was lucky to get mainly dry weather with a few showers and some wet roads. The bike really filled me with confidence with the feedback i was getting from it. I am much more happy on it and feel i know its personality and behaviour more. I need a gel seat or an air hawk as i get saddle sore after 4 hours.
Anyway, I thought i'd share my good day out.
Thanks for reading!

Sounds good to me. Fitting new rubber last week made a real difference for me too plus doing my first track day on Monday filled me with confidence.

good for you, nothing like getting the miles under your belt to build the confidence!
