My PS3 is dead...

woohooo!!!!

I now have a fully working PS3

Was qouted £70-90 to get it fixed, laser cost me £29.90 and came today so I got to work replacing it.

Wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be really, took me a while as I took my time but I can imagine how quick the guys do it that fix them everyday, and charge that price for it too.

So that was £40+ saved and the satisfaction of fixing it myself is priceless, for everything else there is...

Spoke too soon, reads the disc fine but still jams on the way out

No, I lost confidence in carrying on with the repair as they dont last, so purchased a new one :)

Fixed again :)

I took it apart again and messed about with the ejecting mechanism as it must of been something to do with it. Someone clicked so it might of been out of place. Put it back together and tried it and it ejected the disc :)

Fingers crossed it will keep working, as I think if it goes again I will flog it off and either get a new one or not even bother.
