WHY
Why must they pillage our happy childhood memories into these *******ized abominations and misinterpretations?
Postman Pat: You Know You're the One will be shot in 3D and sees Pat swap Greendale village for the big city after he enters an X Factor-style talent contest.
AAAAAAGH!
(and why must they all wear sunglasses to give them really phony 'attitude' and perhaps even 'baditude'? The Smurfs have also fallen foul of this committee thinking)

Never mind Pat, we all know what was going on behind closed doors!
More importantly is this (http://www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/tvandradioblog/2010/dec/09/russell-brand-cast-rentaghost?INTCMP=ILCNETTXT3487) farce... Oh the horror!

postman pat, postman pat, postman pat ran over his cat, postman pat was crying, the poor old cat was dying, have you ever seen a cat as flat as that?

It's the insistence that everything has to be in bl00dy 3D. Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti 3D on principal or anything. I thought Tron worked brilliantly because it was just filmed in 3D to give it depth but without too many trick. I hate the "it's 3D so we must have things sticking out of the screen at the audience" mindset. I saw a trail for Yogi Bear 3D and it looked completely rubbish. I loved Yogi when I was young and here it was, no subtle humour at all, just a badly animated computer bear flying out of the screen at me. I felt cheated.
I remember I liked Rentaghost, I just have no actual memories of it. Which is odd, because I remember stuff about the old black & white Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon.

Seems Hollywood has run out of original ideas.
How sad :(
