Can this be adjusted at all? I am 6ft 5 and finding that rides of more than 1 hour cripple me and some corners are very awkward!

Get the brake and gear lever adjusted up or down to properly suit your riding position. Also get the front brake and clutch lever adjusted on the clip ons so that they are properly in line with your forearms.
Then look at how you ride the bike. The correct way is to grip the tank with your legs therfore taking all the stress off your lower back. Also i believe its the ball of the foot is supposed to be on the levers, not the arch. There has bren a few threads recently regarding correct riding position, just give a search!
Or change your handle bars to comfort bars, basically they are straight bars more comfortable than the clip ons :D

I'm 6ft 4 and ride a faired curvy SV, a faired pointy SV with a lowered seat and comfort kit (wife's) and a Yamaha FZ-1s (plus the occasional CBR600RR of Ron's). None of the above give me any problems...
What's getting crippled? Wrists, ankles, backside, other....? Also you don't say what you're riding...
If it's wrists, you're putting too much of your weight through them, handlebars aren't really for taking your weight except under braking, even then you want to minimise that. You're supposed to support your upper body weight using your core muscles. If you're riding a bike with clip-ons, steering is easier the closer your forearms are to parallel with the road.
Feet and ankles do get crampy if I don't move them, the odd leg stetch and foot re-position on long rides is all it needs though.
