Hi all,

Well I want to get rid of that ulgy thing hanging down over the rear wheel, and I've stumbled across various ways in which to do it.

1st, Can I just cut the original undertray and fit a new plate bracket + drill indicator holes for origianls to go back on?

2nd, cut original undertray and fit a new one on top and then fasten plate and indicators to it.

3rd is to just remove it and fit a new one and then fit all parts to it.

I want to do this as cheap as possible, I will no doubt change it in the future but for now as a restrictor is going to cost £220 + new set of tyers is £235 + lowers are £190 so it's all mounting up ontop of the bike it's self which I don't want to wait untill each payday to buy new things just yet.

So my question to you is.

Can I just detach all cables and electrical connectors and remove the original undertray cut down so it all fits snug, and then re-bolt my number plate to the old (slimed down) tray along with indicators?

any bit's that look rough and a file can't deal with, I can just buy from trusty B&Q some plastic and re-shape it to the undertray to tidy things up?

I did the 2nd of your options but used a 2nd hand one and cut that down.

Give a bit more support to the ECU and other electrics

Just buy a number plate bracket to hold that & indicators, plenty of them on EBAY

I have one here already cut down. You're welcome to it free of charge but you will need to come and collect. I will be more than happy to give you a hand fitting it should it be required. Depends on how far you are willing to travel though.

Yeah, that was a thing, with regards to the ECU and the electricals I'd more than likley sort them out while there all exposed. use Zip-Ties and what not to hold them in place. I will look into cutting it down and then buying a couple of 'L' brackets and fasten them to my undertray and then the plate to them, On my current bike, I have the plate lit up by the brake light well it's just under neith the brake light (which is always illumated) just is that legal or does it need some sort of clear reflector or clear light ?

Very Generous, but unfortunatley I can't ride her untill November due to current bike Insurance, due to the fact I couldn't carry my NCB on to this bike if I where to ride her now and also no point in taking out a multi bike policy when I'll only have 2 bikes for a couple of weeks and then back down to 1.

If you where to still have it say mid November then yes I'll take it off your hands, but I may be able to get it collected by a courier ? I work in a warehouse as part of a despatch service so I could possibly arrange a collection if you where to just throw it in a box or just make sure it had my address on ?

Many Thanks
Aarron

Aarron I'm sure we could sort something out mate. It's not going anywhere in much of a rush, it's just sitting in the garage gathering dust mate. It's got your name on it when you are ready mate.

I used one of these to mount the number plate & indicators. Better than L brackets

Used a LED number plate light for the MOT, similar to the one on the tail tidy shown

Would you be kind enough to send me a picture of your Undertray and tail tidy from a few different angles please. on my current bike it's all neat because of the tail tidy but I need a undertray before I can add a tail tidy, would you recomend Powerbronze or possible Ermax ? do these go over the originall or do they just replace them?

Thanks
