Thought I would do a quick post as don't come on here often but I know a lot on here will probably think about the wee Breadman at some point today.
Still can't believe it's been two years now, it's crazy......
Anyways, Hovis - wherever you are hope you are having a cracking good time and we all miss you terribly.
For any of you newer guys who didn't know Hovis, take a peep at the fallen friends post if you fancy;
http://www.sv650.org/friends/tributes.htm
If anyone is sat at home tonight, at a loss for something to do, please raise a glass and toast any lost loved ones.
Drew & Lily. X
With you on that Drew - Can't believe where the time has gone. Will be raising a glass tonight.
Though the first song that the radio played after midnight was Nothing Else Matters.
Hovis - you better be tearing up the skies and enjoying yourself. Miss you sunshine xx

Yeah, every time I am in the supermarket I always think they have changed the labelling, then I realise that I have misread "Hovis - Thick Cut" and they haven't added an extra N in there :p
RIP Breadman :)

Remember stumbling back to the bunkhouse in Aviemore after a few refreshing glasses with the Ecosse boys and checking the 'Org on my phone to see this. Never met the lad but he made me laugh a few times on here - and it was his advice via PM that steered me towards the model of Blade that I eventually bought.
Quick 2 years, that's for sure.

Yep he sure was, had a HUGE bust up with him over the Essex AR and some of his comments on it, yet it was at that event that I got to "understand" him a bit better ( lot like you Quiffy, but 2 years earlier :p )
Had hoped to get to know him better with that understanding, unfortunately timing meant it wasn't to be.
Thanks again for the PM breaking the news to me 2 years ago Quiffy, due to a busy weekend I had missed the news on the .org proper.

Quiff, thats a lovely thought running in my head right now. :D
Every time I get off the bus, it drops me outside the pub we spent his last xmas with the Pennine massive, I have memories of table dancing Hovis. Not sure which was more wobbly, him or the table, must have been the Fosters!:p

Must admit, many many good memories of Hovis.....here are a few of my highlights;
- AR08, many moments; rocking horse fall, "Hovis rocks out", his tailpack on the Sunday. :-D
- The day Lily passed her test, he met her for a ride whilst I was at work, she dropped her bike - Hovis was petrified as thought I would blame him and kill him.....wound him up something cronic with that one.
- My stag do, he laid on his back in the middle of the dance floor and shouted, "Spin me by my feet, I can't break dance for real". Plus he fell asleep with his face drooling on the stage of a podium dancer in a Gentlemans Club.
- The day he called to say he was leaving the house to come to ours, he arrived from home to ours in 35 minutes!!!! Took off his helmet, had a massive grin on his face and bellowed for a Carling.
- The first time that Hovis, Gid, Girth and Wideboy all stayed at our house in Worcester......at 1am, Hovis was sat drinking Carling singing his favourite Madonna tunes. Priceless it was.
- After Lonewolf had his off with me and Hovis when we were going to Ed's rideout - we were all in the hospital taking it in turn to see Mark. All of a sudden, a copper shouted "Oi Hovis" - the colour drained completely out of him - until he realised (after a long period of worry) that it was JumJum who is a local copper in that area. His face was a picture.
There are many many more, but he used to always have a cheeky grin on him, would always moan about something, but we always knew he would do anything in the world for Lily and I and all those from the Org that were close to him.
He came accross on the Org in a very different manner than in person and rubbed many people up completely the wrong way. But, I think the Org lost a true character that day.
On a personal note.....he was probably Lily's best friend in the whole world......and boy do we both miss him like mad.
For anyone who met his Mum etc, she is still touched to this day by the tribute of the funeral and those who came and the flowers that sometimes pop up on his and his Dad's grave. Joyce is unfortunately up and down frequently, she had a period when she did well and travelled, but when I last spoke to the family she was struggling with her diabetes etc.
Anyways.....enough from me.
Drew (and Lily of course). X

For me , his cheeky grin was not about enjoying what he was doing now ... it was for the next thing he had planned that only he knew about..
He was dealt a bad hand in life but he sure turned it into a Royal Flush in the short time he was at the table..
I've still not seen the human skittles but heard about them.
Met him once (where i got told I'll get Fat) so not many actual memories but got shed loads written for which I'm thankful.
Always up to something and planning the next he was
However to see the silver lining -the friendships that have been formed from that day. I know that he'll be smiling and taking the credit for me, lily and drew finally hooking up.
and SK for the unspoken support on the day.
Diz, PEg and Phil for making a stay in a travelodge unforgettable and keeping me going all the way from Sandbach.

Despite being a closet tyke who couldn't keep his trap shut. He did have redeeming features, an uncanny ability to make people smile.
The org is a better place for the bread mans short visit. 2 years, ffs time flies.

Hi all, long time since I posted on here & haven't seen many of you in ages but it almost feels like yesterday that Stretchie rang me to tell me the awful news.
One my favourite memories of Hovis will always be at AR08 with his 'nodding dog' routine on the bar stool - had us all in stitches & he just would not give in & go to bed! How he didn't fall off that stool is beyond me to this day!
I'm sure most like me will be raising a glass to him tonight. RIP dude.
Hovis snorting vod on the Peaks rideout and many more :laughat:

Best memory of the special dude was on the peaks rideout in the pub.
Hovis was playing Binky at darts and he asked me to tell him what he needed as he was too drunk to do maths. So he needed double 8 to win the match and first throw he nails it!!
He both celebrated by hugging each other and he decided to try and lift me up to which he promptly fell over and I landed on top of him. On my way down someone removed my pint out of my hands so it didn't spill.
I didnt get to spend as much time with Hovis a some of you but still think about him regularly, he had to be one of the funniest blokes I ever met.
RIP Hovis
