why stop at the forks, get the frame tank rear wheel seat rear shock and engine etc.then it'll handle, stop and go just like you wish your sv should but never will

cos its getting sold and i think i'll stick to one of my 3 sv thous inc the sz or maybe just the 250 endro im picking up in 2-3 weeks, or should i fix the 2 stroke in my back garden mmmm maybe ask stew for my vfr 400 back
lets see why would i want a new front end for a bike im selling ,to make it more desireable to others perhaps ,feck me save us all would this be a sensible idea, if a gsxr front is just a few pounds more than some original forks and yokes
saying that why would i want another gsxr as ive been there rode it sold it and moved on
oh sorry my mistake i must have blandit envy lol

Hi
I`ve got a GSXR front end I may put up for sale .. (I should hopefully getting a new bike in a few days and if so then my project is up for sale).
I did list it on here before but then changed my mind and so on...
I have..
Wheel - there is a tyre on it but it`s knackered
Discs
Spindle / Speedo drive
Calipers - used but i`ve never fitted them to the forks
Forks - had new seals and oil prior to me buying them about 6 months ago (sat in the living room ever since)
Yokes - with an ignition still in it but no key and have had the lock stops ground off.
And clip on`s - no bar ends tho :-)
The bottom bearing is knackered and will need replacing
** I also have billet thug yokes which i had made for it if your interested (but I want £375 alone for them, they cost me £450) and have never been been fitted in the bike. :-( **
Pm me your email address and i`ll email some pix to you - if i decide to sell? in the meantime here`s the link to the original listing

so im assuming the bike is in need of forks,a set of sv fork in good order cost about £125,loads about cos everybody is putting USD forks on them, as to gsx front ends if you can find one about £500 plus adapting and fitting,so if you are putting on the market to sell will you get the extra £400 plus any additional work you may need yokes speedo etc shall we say another £200 that makes a total of £600+/- extra the bike has to make with usd forks!
as to the pun about bandits i can say they go round corner as standard, the forks dont knock or bottom out, some might say they are a bit soft but ive never had any problems.and most bandit which are fitted with usd forks are done for bling and not handleing.but if sv forks are like the ones on my old gsx600f i can understand the problems you have with them, lol

£275 for my complete front end with 2K miles. I may have been wearing a mask at the time! LOL
DP - I'd go with the SV front end mate, they can be had cheap as chips. What parts are you needing to fit a standard front end? I may have some parts lying around in the cellar. I definitely have top and bottom yokes, fork with bent stanchion, one fork that looks straight, one wheel with straightenable dent, two disks, one set of callipers (no master cylinder as it's still on my bike, though I may be persuaded to change to the GSXR or R1 ones I have but have never gotten around to fitting!) and possibly clip-ons with no grips.
Depending on what parts you need, I reckon GSXR front end will cost £400-500 for complete K5 stuff in good nick or £100-200 less for the SV stuff, of course if you already have some SV parts, this cost could come down quite a bit.
