I've got a mint 2002 with all the paperwork (and I'm talking every bill ever) only
11k miles, full fairing and cowl. She's the DB's... But

I've seen this stupid, new, Honda and it might be a cheap Harley but it's awesome. Head says NO. Heart says go on cos you've got the cowboy boots, the leather jeans and the Marlon Brando Wild Ones jacket.

What would you do?

Tbh I'd think about it a bit longer. The moment I thought buying it was the wrong decision I wouldn't think about it again. For me its ****e. Only my opinion of course, to me it wouldn't give me one thing I ride a bike for. Well you asked....good luck with your hat and boots though or are you joshing?

Nope, it's a bit gay, alright a lot gay

This what we're talking about, yup it is, 12.8 ltr tank, s'pose it's for bar hopping as the yanks call it, i mean where are you going to put your luggage?
But it's your money, your choice.

Get a proper HD then, although carp and slow they don't change so will be carp and slow but worth a similar amount in a few years time when you see the light.

If you want the Marlon Brando look you want a Triumph T5 from the late 50's you can get a ratty one for about £5K

As daft as it sounds, see if you can get a test ride - about the only thing I can say is that it'll be totally different to an SV...

Given a lottery win, one of the bikes that would probably fall into my dream garage would be a Rocket 3 roadster, because sometimes you want a relaxing cruise instead of a mad thrash.

I do actually like the Fury (apart from the wheels and the name). But no I wouldn't buy one for the simple reason having sat on one in a show room I know it is just made of cheap plastic.

Everything on the bike is plastic, even the chrome. And I really do mean cheap plastic. Horrendous. The switch gear feels as if it will last 5 minutes and the rest of the plastic sound so thin I think it would simply melt in some mild Autumn sunlight. Cheap and nasty is all I can say about it. Shame.

Will people stop mentioning...the DBs.....

Its really not my sort of bike, even if it is shiny :)

FFS it's got a 1.3 litre engine, but it produces less power than my SV (54.7kW vs 42.5kW) and it weighs 100kg more (198kg vs 303kg wet). It's definitely in the Hardly Movingson school of motorbike design.

Perfect for those people who like plenty of chrome to polish and the occasional Sunday morning cruise along the prom at Brighton when the sun is shining.

Bamburgh Castle very nice.

Back to the VT. I'd take it out for a nice long test ride along one of you favorite routes, then ask your self "would I ride this more than the SV"

Had a long hard look at it today while my son's CBR 125R was having the final bits put on it after his drop. From 20' it's georgeous. Up close I afraid to say there is a lot of cheap plastic pretending to be chrome. Thanks to the guy who mentioned that. it was real metal I think I would have gone for it....

Best do the Lottery then and get an HD

OP: If you like it buy it, it's not the bike for me but there's no denying it's a smart looking machine. Take a good look one first though, I've also heard that by H***a standards the bike looks a little cheap up close.

But it's your money and your little slice of the world of motorbicycling, vive la difference!

I do need to point out that you're all wrong though; You want a CAF and stand out from the crowd bike? Then you want this:

Confederate Wraith, contraband, cool, deeply illegal everywhere, fantastically daft - I really really want one.

More like a bit of modern art than a normal bike, still CAF. And with the name conjuring up images of rebellion, definitely CAF.
