I can't remember, but is it a two pin or one pin connector reg/rec that you need for an '01?

Why don't you do the Honda upgrade for the reg/rect
Plenty of threads about it I think
no idea on pins, will have a nosey at it.
Have looked at the cbr one and mod required, very tempted, but to be honest as the sv is my daily work ride I want it back on the road asap, and just want to bolt on, plug in and go.

Perhaps you could get a reg/rect from here, they're based down at the Hythe. Bet they've got an Sv or Honda one you need

Or there's a Curvy breaking out at Clacton, but he ain't cheap

Have bought from motor cycle recycle before, theyre alright to deal with.
Maybe mine is 2 pin Blinky, its got a plug with 3 wires, and a plug with white/black wire and red wire.

Yep I've delt with Motorcycle recycle as well, fair prices, better to collect rather than get it posted to me

It's a two pin style one you want. Have you still got the old reg/rec, I am after one (actually just the connector blocks, not the actual unit)
I do still have it, its attached to my sv at the mo. Have you looked for new connectors out of interest?
I`ve used this ebay shop before:

Hmm, thanks, I've had mixed success buying stuff like this online before. I'd rather physically see what I am getting before buying, but that isn't always possible.
When / if you get a new one, could you cut the wires and post them to me? I can pay P&P.

Looks like I might need a reg / rec also ...
left bike for ~ two weeks, and it started no problem the other day: did a 300 + mile round trip to Aberystwyth on Sunday (should have given a good charge to the battery, yes?) but today it does not want to know (flat bettery symptoms) ... i did notice in the dark on the return home on Sunday that when brake lights or indicator were on, the headlights dimmed a bit ...
So that sounds to me like the bike is mostly running off the battery if the reg is not charging enough, and my 300 mile trip has actually drained it instead of charging it -- would that be fair comment ?
Bike is 99 curvy, 26K on the clock
Any ideas where I can get a reg/rec in the NW ...??
Of course, if any of you tech experts think its something else, please let me know !!
Cheers
Chris
Send Binky a pm, he has one ready to post out
