Hey Ben,

Nope! Although I can see why you might think that. Was round Stockbridge I think, a couple of years ago.

Paging Fizz, he's from around there.

You could always make a day of it and go over the bridge to Wales, there's two things the Welsh can do properly, and that's roads and dodgy rugby tackles (JOKING!!!)

Where abouts exactly are you in Somerset then ? I do most of my riding in Dorset mind... just because I know those roads better...

Go from Bridgwater to Langport on the A372

Zig Zag Hill just outside Shaftesbury, in fact go from Shaftesbury towards Blandford through Stourpaine then come back on yourself towards Sherborne, through Bishops Caundle / Alweston.

The whole section from Shaftesbury down the A30 to Sherborne.

Your other option is go down the A39 from Bridgwater to Minehead and then onto Porlock Hill and then out onto Exmoor. Then onto Lynmouth and then head for Barnstaple ( OK I know thats Devon ) but it is good riding, just watch for sheep and beaware that the corners can be deceptive and tighten up on you and will catch you out.

Your other option is head down into Dorset then go from Bridport to Weymouth on the coast road, taking you through Burton Bradstock, its a 50mph limit so watch your speed in tourist season, but good fun still...

Depends how far away you are really, but make a day out of it and take in some of that lot and I really doubt you'll be disappointed...

ill share a good place that i know of its the A372 coming out of othery a few good highspeed corners then a nice tight sweeping bend with an incline/decline depending on which way you approach it ofcourse but there is a bridge with a layby either side to turn around in on the side closest to othery and on the other side you can either cut out the nice tight corner and turn around in a little double junction thing or you can go a bit further and use a bit off the road which is like a layby but i think is actually just a houses drive which is flush with the road images attached :D

What's this SERV business? Sounds like a good cause and I'd be interested in helping out. Do you know how often they tend to need you?

And yeah Ben, before it gets too cold for non-commuting rides eh ;)
