Some time ago I bought some jump leads (they declared themselves heavy-duty) and used them a few times. However, when I went to use them a couple of days ago I found they had basically disintegrated - the plastic had shattered!
Can anyone recommend some decent jump leads that I'll be able to keep for a long time?
Thanks!
how do you keep the jump leads, wrapped up in a tight coil or draped over a hanging hook on the wall?
i would get jump cables that are at least 16mm core. It's best to go look at jump leads and the coating on the wires. Heavy duty ones will have a thicker coating, possibly 2 coats to prevent the wires from being damaged easily.
without seeing them in the flesh i would go for something like this http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_77 7075_langId_-1_categoryId_255204
this maybe useful:

They generally roll about in the boot of the car (or more likely, in one of the storage areas in the boot).
Thanks for the info. The Clarkes ones don't seem to exist any more, but now I've got a better idea as to what to look for. I'll pop into Halfords one evening on the way home and have a look at what they have.
thanks for all your help.

Are these any good for clipping onto the SV battery?
With the normal ones I bought before the clips are too big!
