Yes, it is short notice

No, I couldn't have posted this earlier as to not knowing the weather yet

Anyway, I have not been given my "welcome to the flat-lands" rideout, so, who is up for a jaunt around Norfolk, preferably over my way as I don't wanna get lost trying to find the meeting point... Also, you guys (and gals) might be able to show me some nice roads over this way

Can't ride yet but if you meet up anywhere near then I could drop in for a brew before you head out.

It might be a ride with me & someone from another forum, but, all are welcome

I only moved to the area 3 weeks ago! So, you'll have better local knowledge then me, but, I did pass my test 18 months ago & have done over 18k miles since then...

davatron

Yeah well, as I alluded to before, I have lived in this area for three weeks & as you can guess by the name I come from over 300 miles away from this area, so, might need a bit of help on locations and the like

There is a quite handy apple app that can help you .its a bit quirky but called "Greatest Road".
It,s handy to give you some idears.

That'd be great, but, I am not a sheep (I only like eating them for food before you ask) I have a blackberry, so, no good telling me about that app

I'm sure someone who knows a route will step up to the plate.

My phone is being crap! I can't see any of those routes! But, I was thinking maybe a meet up at 09:45 somewhere, gives us a good three hours to hoon around before you got to go back to dinner with the "in laws"

Think we need a pre Christmas Fish & Chip rideout to Southwold pier

Sometime in December

Only committed cold weather riders need attend.

So thats me, Skip (bit too far for the DRZ) & SVRich on his mobility scooter.

Have a think about it, I'll post a thread up sometime soon

sounds good. where are you based? Ill try to find the route and the meeting place that is somewhere in the middle.

Hemsby at the moment

Ok so there's the plan. We meet at

The Millwright Arms‎
67 Shipdham Road
Dereham, Norfolk NR19 1JW
01362 693 416

at 10 am (obviously there should be some leeway on time as none of us know the roads)

from there on we can take the so called Norfolk Dash route
http://www.bestbikingroads.com/motorcycle-roads/motorbike-rides-in-united-kingdom-/east-anglia--/norfolk-dash-_7aa369.html

we can always cut it bit short if running out of time. In case you cant see the map these are the places we would ride through: East Dereham, Watton, Thetford, Fornham St Genevieve, Mildenhall, Brandon, Swaffham, Fakenham, East Dereham.

there are alternative routes as well, such as:
http://www.bestbikingroads.com/motorcycle-roads/motorbike-rides-in-united-kingdom-/east-anglia--/breckland-bimble-_7163a4.html

which goes through: East Dereham, Watton, Thetford, Swaffham, East Dereham.

Ill try to squeeze a last bit of toner out of my printer to print the map.

Does that sound good?

Count me in for this Dicky, even though Southwold is a thousand miles away!! The heated grips work well and if I was to put the muffs back on then ill be ultra-toasty :p
