Didn't read the joke, and your right, it's not the time for jokes, but don't be hard on yourself.

Simoncelli was a real motorbike racer, he took it to the extreme, went balls out, and took big risks. It is very sad that that game has taken his life, but he knew what game he was playing, and more than any of those guys he didn't just accept that risk, he was prepared to make it bigger. He has given his life for his passion.
