View Full Version : SV650S (2006) Mint Condition ... West Midlands ...
Due to being so close to Christmas, and I've not been able to afford my bike lessons, I'm having to sell my SV650.
I've had it for about a month, never ridden. It's been locked up and kept under a cover in the garden. The previous owner kept it in immaculate condition and washed it after every ride. I was gobsmacked at how tidy it was.
Check my other thread for more pics, but here is one of them.
To be very honest I don't know much about the bike. I had an experienced rider and mechanic look over the bike before I purchased, and I purchased it because I loved the bikes, and wanted a good bike I can grow on and keep for years. Sadly I just can't afford it at the moment.
I'm going to let it go for £2300 which is a reasonable price. I'm making a loss on it, but I have no option at the moment and would like a quick sale.
Total mileage is 11513.
Feel free to come and take a look.

Miles are around 5600, will be able to get definitive reading when I'm back at home. No other aftermarket parts to my knowledge. The previous owner did have a custom foot rest made for passengers.
I'm based in Walsall, Wednesbury.

Presumably to mount the exhaust - it looks higher than a standard can? I gather there is a custom peg for each side. Do you know which type of Scorpion exhaust it is for insurance purposes?
That's a nice looking Sv the right colour too.

Agreed.
Thats is a good looking bike and a very good price. Someone is going to pick up a bargain!!!
Hey guys, thanks for the replies.
I know a few have asked for the milage. I have been getting in the house at 8pm the past couple of days, but I will do it first thing tomorrow morning.
I do know the milage is not high though.
Thanks.
I am willing to take offers on this bike btw.
You make no mention of any MOT, tax or service history mate and the exhaust you have fitted is it road legal ? Do you have the original ? both keys ? Lastly did you have it HPI checked before you bought it ? Will be looking for an sv shortly but I'm going to take my time, want a well sorted one. :D
I'd also like info on tax/mot/history as above. May be interested, although I was looking for something with ideally half the mileage.

It's only done 2000 miles a year. So long as it's been looked after, it should be good for another 90000 miles at least. If you stick to 2000 a year, then it'll last until about 2056!

also interest, tax mot?
Hi,
Yes it's taxed and MOT'ed. I will get the exact dates when I get back from work.
It's had an experian check and it's all clear. The exhaust is road legal yes. It has had some service history, but not a complete history. I do have both keys yes.
Is the bike restricted? If it has a restricted ecu would you be willing to sell it separately? (Assuming of course that you have the full power ecu also, wouldn't want to leave it it with no ecu at all!!!!!)

I'm not sure if it's been derestricted. To be honest I didn't even know they could be derestricted so it's not a question I would have asked when purchasing. The seller didn't mention anything about having restrictions removed though so I can only assume it hasn't.
Is there any way of telling? Road bikes are fairly new to me.
It's just because it seems your new to road biking i presumed the bike would be restricted. This can be done in a number of ways, but the best way of doing (for the fuel injected models) seems to be a different ecu.
If you have a restricted ecu (black box it's under the seat) it would have mgt061 written on it, if it's a full power one it would have mgt060 on it.

Alpomb there is enough restricters for sale on here. Why don't you do a search and find one for less than £50.
It's MOTed till Feb 2012 and taxed till Feb to. There is an advisory on the MOT cert. about exhaust being noise due to the loudness, but the exhaust is no where near as loud as my dads chopper.
I will accept £2000 for it. I'll take a loss because money situation at the moment is bad. Seriously, no offers on £2000 though. I think you'd be hard pressed to find one in the condition mine is in for that price.
I'm going to stick it on eBay Friday if nobody here is interested.

Do you have more images?
How long have you had the bike?
Cheers
Stu
Yeah I can get some more images uploaded.
I've had the bike about 2 months now. Never been riden since I've had it though due to not having my license yet.
I'm going to stick it on ebay today for £2000 so I will upload the link with the images etc.

It may still be if it doesn't sell. It seems like everyone is having money issues being so close to Christmas. I will keep the thread updated though.

any update on the pictures/ebay sale?
The beauty has now been sold. Sorry about those that we're interested in it.
I'll defiantly be getting another when my financial position is more stable. The bikes are real stunners.
How much did you sell it for in the end?

£2000 to me :D, picked up yesterday...very well kept bike!! It's such a shame GV1 didn't get to ride it. I can't see me wanting another bike for a while.
Well done! Looks very nice.
