Metaphorically speaking.

I used to hate olives (always thought they were for grown ups), however last year I took Nobbylass out for a meal at a local Portugeuse restaurant and I tried some olives with bread as they were on the table.

Ever since I've been hooked on 'em and just sitting here now, enjoying a selection of halkidiki olives with basil & garlic (thanks to Graze.com).

So, what u-turns have you done recently that have surprised you?

I used to HATE any physical activity.
6 months ago I joined a gym and now I go 5 times a week. If I miss a day or two I feel really poo about myself. It's safe to say I love it!

Olives for me too and Gin and Tonic. Things i used to like - i can't stand sugar in tea and coffee or full fat milk.

never used to eat tomatoes but recently had a sandwich with some in it and quite enjoyed it. couldn't eat a whole one on its own though!

Balky - I'm with you on the milk in coffee thing. Used to drink it like that when I was younger, but has to be black now. Still need sugar though!

Not that recent but...Facebook, used to think people that used it were tw*ts with no proper friends, now I get it :)

Its good for staying in touch and putting pics up.

Food wise, a couple of years ago I wouldn't try new foods now I like trying different stuff and broadening my horizons.

French people, used to think they were generally horrible who hated the English, but actually most of the ones me and Dan came into contact with on our recent french trip were really friendly and the complete opposite to my perceptions of them prior to going.

+1 with reeder on the fitness.
Ive gone from one extreme to another.

7 weeks ago I had been drinking 3-4 times a week and spending a fair amount on alcohol in the house and down the pub for a long time.

Now I haven't had a drink in 8 weeks apart from on my holiday the last week and I now spend all my money on going to the gym and on nice healthy foods and feel really good in my self.

Eating clean and working out does wonders for your energy levels.

I also have started eating veg/and prawns :) .

Went with a friend into one of those fish pedicure things today. When I saw what they actually did I literally did a U turn and walked straight out again!

Yuk!

Did a cracking one the other day, didn't put my feet down or anything :takeabow:

I went from thinking Badminton is gayer than Boy George trying on dresses, to now i've started playing it realising its actually a sport for manly men http://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m571/sv4me/muscle0715-1.gif

I think so :D

Pretty easy to pick up for beginners too, as long as you have some degree of hand eye co-ordination.....my girlfriend does not :smt043
