...cue a spectacular Eagle Owl in flight, this vid (http://www.dogwork.com/owfo8/) is phenomenal.
Oh yeah, and if it's anything to do with a mustached dictator, I shall tell ya to sod off now ;)

That is amazing. Thanks for sharing, I have passed it on to the wife who loves Owls, well obviously why else would she want one for a pet!

oh that is so awesome at the end when it's wings open out and you see the claws opening
It's amazing how perfectly still and focused the Owls head is.

I just took my girlfriend to the owl experience in Derbyshire today. I really recommend it we had a fantastic day flying lots of different owls!! Amazing creatures! Thanks for the post.

That was effing awesome! Although, was it just me, or did the owl's eyes appear to glow red a couple of times on it's way in?
Bad owl!

I know, eyes on the prize at all times :-) They're amazing creatures. And the talons opening up at the end is just fab, no timing difference between them!

Hmm yes, interesting vid but dreadful music had to turn it off lol. Owls can do the whole head tracking thing, like a lot of birds whereby the head can remain stable while the body moves, it's fascinating to witness. I've had this Oystercatcher in the hand and it demonstrated it beautifully.
