£2200 with the luggage

Thats a good price for a 2007 bike, if you look at traders they are asking £2795 for 2003 SV's unfaired ....

http://www.saltiresuzuki.com/used/suzuki-sv650

Which is a disgrace, they above bike from that dealer I asked about it, if he could make me a decent offer on my old bike to this one, this was 3 months ago, I doubt they will sell it over the next few months. I eventually bought one private SK6 for £2600 .. which was way better ...

I am sure you will get what you want for the bike as it is a good price..

Good luck :)

Thank you. Yeah it really makes me wonder what planet people are on when they price there 2003 SV's with 20000+ miles at over £2000. Cheek more than anything.

Well, will have to see how things go as unfortunately its not the right time to be selling.

On the other hand it could be the right time for buying :) Not everyone buy's a bike in spring, and if they had any sence, they would buy one now for spring!

Ben Whitcher
06-11-11, 11:21 PM
Instant difference. It lights up every motorway sign for me. High beam stretches to as far as i can physically see. Superb!

Glad i got some now. Thanks Rob. Shame you couldn't afford it. Would of loved to seen it around again.

Not after the bike, but what bulbs are fitted in it? Does it give a blue light?

Ben Whitcher
11-11-11, 02:56 PM
It does, very blue lamps if i'm driving towards you. Crystal white light reflection on signs etc. From Ebay. Have a look and you'll find some there.

Obviously no one wants to buy this time of year. Bike now at £2100ono. Bargain compared to prices in the summer.
Not to mention this bike is mint!

I notice the you had a final bid on ebay of £2000. Did you let it go for this? You might get more trade in.

GLWS - I have a similar bike I am selling - might leave it until next year though!??!?!

Ben Whitcher

Seems that way. People seem to buy the poor condition ones for just a bit less than a mint condition one. Obviously delusional. ;/ Don't think i can wait this BMW is calling me more and more.

Happy to discuss offers btw. Trade in price is £2000 so anything more than that i'm happy. Never been crashed. Sits at 70mph fine. So many people comment on the look and sound of the bike. Sad to see it go but a BMW is more practical for me and winter.

It is a nice bike mate and I'm sure it will sell, maybe no one had any money or the ones that do live a far ways from you. I've noticed theres been a few bikes on e bay from traders appearing that have been purchased at low prices from members forums, quick profit with no trade in. 2 on the honda hotnet forums this month. I am looking to but a bike myself shortly but as usual with house sales they don't go as smoothly as expected, just awaiting funds. Was just wondering Ben if you'd sat on a honda hornet and compared the seat height with your sv, I know its not a prob for you but I have a 30 inside leg. Wish you all the luck mate. Gaz:)

Ben Whitcher

Cheers for responses chaps.

Looked at a Hornet etc but ride height etc i don't think you can beat the BMW. Plus winter riding i feel much more safer on a bike with ABS and TC. I will be gutted if i have to keep the SV now as i have my heart set on this BMW. Finishes tonight on Ebay if i get £2000 ill be happy. But doesn't even seem people have £2000 to spend. As everyone has said including my parents not everyone is as fortunate as me and can afford to buy a £6000 bike at this present time in the year.

Anyone looking at this i will let it go for £2000 just so i can get the BMW before the snows comes and i have to travel to University for exams. Nothing wrong with the bike like i have said 100 times or more its the fact its not suitable for my 52 mile commute everyday! Its a dream to ride and pulls so well through every gear even at 33bhp.

Thanks Ben

What I mean't ben was is the sv taller in the seat by much compared to a hornet ? will be looking to buy an sv myself hopefully before christmas.:)

Ben Whitcher
19-11-11, 04:23 PM
Oo sorry. No there not. Hornet has a whole single seat, which dibs down. The ride style of a naked bike isn't like a sports/touring version SV. Hornet are nice bikes i went to look at one but not my cup of tea with it being a naked style bike which in fairness = poor motorway commuting.

19-11-11, 04:29 PM
ok mate, thanks for that, so not really any difference in height then, I can just flat foot a hornet so should have no problem with an sv then. I know the riding positions different, just needed to know if I could get my foot down as I prefer the sv. Thanks, might be in touch over yours if its not gone by december, although I hope it does for your sake. All the best:)

Fingers crossed i guess. Chap with BMW said he wont wait after this month so im pretty stuffed if its not gone. Good luck pal :)

Ben Whitcher

Sold but not for the right price so couldn't let it go via Ebay.

I physically cannot sell it for £1800 im loosing too much money to what its worth in Spring. If the chap who owns the BMW would keep it till Spring of which he isn't then i would easily wait and get £2200+ for the bike.

Therefore final offer to orgers before trade in - £2000ono splendid bike and worth every penny.

how can it sell on eBay but not be sold??

eBay isn't an advertising service, if someone wins your auction then you sell them your bike, if you want to ensure you get a certain price then you set a reserve dont you??

Elliott
21-11-11, 08:36 AM
But if you add "bike is advertised else where, i reserve the right to sell else where" its fine :D

yeah, that makes everything ok ;)

Exactly. That magic bit of wording allows options for you on Ebay. Still up for sale have someone interested but he needs to get an extra £150. Wait and see i guess. Bit Surprised by the lack of interest from genuine people on here actually. Shame as you will miss out on a immaculate bike.

Cheers buddy. He wants the tank bag which i know you don't want. Possibly tail pack but if you want it mate i'd rather it go to you. (panniers and tail pack) as you don't want hand warmers do you?
