Back out for the first time in a week (babysitting father-in-law's dog so been in car during the week). Missed the headlight switch and hit the kill switch instead! Cue brief panic, slow realisation and re-engagement of brain. And then engine. Followed by me singing "I'm a bell-end" at myself for the next 2 miles!!

Happy days

In moments of frustration with stupid car drivers I have hit the start button rather than the horn.

And my complete Numpty moment was having to do an emergency stop and swerve onto the other side of the road to avoid a T-bone when the F***wit pulled out in front of me from a side road. However to be fair to him the F***wit on the bike had forgotten to cancel his indicators...

Wonder if anyones done this before.
Going across to france so whilst on the tunnel, changed the speedo to kmh and some how my battery went flat later found out the batery was faulty. but anyway found a hill my dad being larger than me rolled down the hill on it whilst i gave him the push got it started, until me being the mug i am forgot to put the stand up and put it into gear :compcrash: i felt the biggest **** alive. so had to wait for a french speaking guy with a jump start to come along and help.

Thankfully my bike now starts easy.

In moments of button dyslexia I have done the opposite of this, beeped the horn when I wanted to start the bike, then looked round see if anyone witnessed my stupidity :smt116

No 2 son got his first proper bike yesterday, CBR 125 R. He's had a twist and go for 6 months and he's just passed his car theory and will be taking his test in the next month. So he has some road experience.

He spent an hour or so doing careful laps of our close to get use to gears and clutch control then I suggested we to for a gentle ride. I sent him off first, started to follow and stalled the bloody thing.

the mrs' golf runs so quiet that I often forget I've already started it and turn the key again screwing the starter motor.

+1 Classic! Keep doing it with my misses' polo...

I'd like to add one more to this chapter:
Last weekend I manage to take out the sv with the misses on the back after a 1 week break. After a pretty smooth ride, going back to the garage I come to an intersection where I'm supposed to do a left (that's a right turn, for you Brits) and, of course, when I'm supposed to take off (cause there's finally a gap opened in the opposing traffic) I stop the engine, almost drop the bike and cause everyone behind me to miss the opportunity to make the turn  (and in the process of trying to hold the bike and not crush the missus' leg I manage to force my wrist)

The numptiness is strong within me
