hey,
i have a restricted sv and one guy here told me that there is a way to derestrict it without changing the ecu/cdi..?
i guess here is the best place to ask about it.
thnx
as far as i am aware no, the ECU is the restriction. There are a few full power ECU's in the for sale section

It may be possible to remap a 33 ECU back to full power.

It may be possible to remap a 33 ECU back to full power.
I think Barwel did that with one of his K3 ecu's.
SV650Racer will be able to assist.
Word of warning to the OP, you bike will more than likely be a twin spark motor so a pre K8 ecu won't work.

Why pay to get your restricted ecu re-mapped to full power?!
By a full power one from here or ebay for £50 and sell the restricted one for the same price. Result= full power bike without a lighter wallet.

My guess is you will be able to alter you existing ECU to release full power for little or no outlay and no buying/selling hassle. The Bandit/GSX 650 restricted ECUs only need one wire to be snipped for example.
