I need some more options, kiggles. Surfing t'internet for stuff can be quite enjoyable, fighting your way round department stores is less fun than putting hot skewers through your own elbows.

Took the words right out of my mouth. ...and I'm a mother of two!!

I flippin hate it, I haven't done any xmas shopping yet! I loathe the whole farce. So many have already done their shopping, and I'm still sat here hoping it'll go away:rolleyes: Its the same each and every year. If only you could get away with doing it all at 4pm on xmas eve!

My sister in law had her photo taken with her kids last week, sat in Santas grotto, everyone on FB was saying 'aahhh, and awwww' and I was the only one saying... 'but its the middle of flippin November' I suppose I could have been slightly less on the Grinch side had it been in December of course:smt110

I've never tried that, so I couldn't comment - but shopping is always horrid, doesn't matter when or why.

Excepting buying bikes, bike stuff or tools obviously.

@ DJfridge

i spend probably over an hour and a half everyday surfing the internet for bike stuff i am looking at buying or getting. I have just spent £900 for a present for my self. (two tyres, exhaust, fairing). To me its Christmas shopping for myself / birthday present for myself. But its not Christmas shopping.... its buying stuff i want with an excuse to make me feel like a deserve it, or need to spend time looking at stuff i like.

christmas shopping there is only one purpose. Buy someone ELSE something they may want /need for christmas and as they generally dont like stuff i do its not fun, and even if it is bike related ill probably want one as well.

which is why i decided to leave it out, as i love christmas shopping for myself, cant wait till my exhaust getts here from the man dressed in red who with turn up in a red van to make me sign for it.

Yes, its great!!! I'm miserable and old & just ordered stuff for me - think I'll leave it at that while I'm ahead.
As for Christmas if the roads are dry & not frozen, they're usually quiet so time for a pootle.

Its an event made up, so people will spend loads of money on total cra[p that no one has need for, or ever will.

Christmas is there to flagged up the screwed retail sector, people aren't buying for a good reason the fact the retail sector depends on Christmas to keep going...it just makes more of a ball ache to g geto food ect. I mean really people strip the shelves of food shops I mean they close for one day. One day people get a grip!

I don't think I like it:rolleyes:

I'm not a scrooge, I love Christmas, it's shopping in general I don't like.
I let the Mrs. do all the shopping. She loves to shop so we're both happy.

Tis' the season to be jolly. :santa:
Enough of you humbugs already. :p

I enjoy the Manchester Christmas markets, not so much for the shopping as for the beer and food!

We've not done any shopping this year yet, I think the kids will get a nintendo game and the adults a book token.

The weather isn't helping with the Christmas cheer, it's too warm.

It's fun when you know what to buy, know you can afford to buy it, like who you're buying it for, know where to buy it and don't have to queue to pay for it.

If I can't do all of these things, it's a right royal pain in the Harris!

Christmas shopping is painful. You buy stuff for people what they wont ever use or only do to make you happy and you get stuff which you have to do the same for. I gave my girlfriend a few bits i want(and was going to buy myself) and she is finding different alternatives what I probably wont even like. She gave me a dress to get her and im not going to do a same because I was looking at a few and she didnt like any but 1!

Trouble is it all starts far too early and we're all fed up with it by Xmas.

I blame the lack of Christmas cheer firmly at the feet of the shops starting it in September.

When I was a youngun, Christmas didn't start until after Guy Fawkes night. Now its just a big retail fest, no tradition, no panto, no Morcambe & Wise Christmas special, just gloomy East Enders Christmas death specials & normal Tv Schedules

I like Christmas.. :p

Do mine on the Internet normally although got my wifes at Tesco the other night. Hope she likes Marigolds :smt057

Combine shopping with beer.

Pub, shop, pub, shop, pub, shop...

Repeat as required.

At least if you don't enjoy it you'll be piished.
