View Full Version : Help please - CD stuck in car!!
A CD has got stuck in the console in my car and now the whole thing is frozen. The whole console is stuck in the tilt out position and the worst thing is the radio's stuck on Radio 1! HELP ME please someone I can't stand any more of that innane drivel
It's a 58 Yaris SR, with the TomTom in the console tilting thingy! And I've tried sticky tweezers in to no avail.
Please???
Ask Toyota .its still under 5year warranty?
Otherwise disconnect the -ve battery terminal for 1hr.
Thanks.
Not sure if it had a 5 year warranty - will check that out
As for the battery suggestion - I have the mechanical skill of a chimp with learning difficulties so I'll save that one for later

Pop into your local dealer regardless of Warranty - if there is a quick fix, they will know and probably not charge to help you out.
Or, if its like any other CD player, get a paper-clip/long needle and look for the little (1mm across) manual eject hole and use the paperclip/needle to push the CD player open.

Would you like to borrow my blonde wig? Then just flutter eyelashes.
Turn it off and sing to yourself instead.
My singing is even worse than Radio1!
Looks like its the dealer and eyelashes then. Can't do that til sat at the earliest though - arghh!

Toyota only started the 5 year warranty on cars registered after 1st July 2010
Well Nissan does have a good will policy.
If Toyota is as good they will look.
Why don't you go while you have a day off teaching? ;)
Because I had a few others things to do ;)
I think it's justified to bring the complete country to a stop just to get the radio of radio one.
Have you got ear plugs or the samaratains number Missie;)

David - I think I love you! i owe you a drink and/or a hug as this worked! Took a while to find the little hole and then feel brave enough to stick something metal into it, but I did and it unstucked the CD.
Ahhhh Radio 4 to look foward to again on the way home
Because I had a few others things to do ;)
Disrupt the whole country for a day?
Ooo I forgot about that...
